How did Star Wars do in Mexico?

Pretty dang good so far. 26M and counting. I'm proud of my people (Mom's side of the family anyway). Maybe I'll have some albondigas soup too....for those of you who aren't familiar with it, it's a Mexican meatball soup and my mom can whip up a mean pot of it.

So I just saw this article saying that the movie should make around 950-957m USA be the end and that even the biggest movies by the end of week 5 witch is where we will be by the end of this up coming weekend tend to have made around 90% of what the are going to make. I think it would be really cool if it got to 1 billion but with how much this movie fell off last week and even from last Monday to this Monday yesterday I mean I don't think 1 billion is going to happened.

So I think the movie is at 1.751 billion. I think it is at 816m USA. So say it gets to 950 that would be 134m more to get it up to about 1.885. Now say it does about the same out side the USA not counting china that would get it up to about 2.019 billion. Then it sounds like china is at around 63m right now and may only get to 125-150m by the end. If we take 150 that would be about 87m more. That would get the movie then up to about 2.112 billion witch I think is around 50m behind titanic. How does all of this sound?

Sounds pretty smart to me, but I think OS has slightly outpaced DOM totals even before China came into play.

Yes we do lol. But yeah I think at first it was about a 50/50 split between DOM and OS but sounds like now it may be doing better outside the USA. So maybe OS can do a little better and we can just catch titanic? I know the movie is doing great but if it doesn't catch titanic I am going to be very disappointed because like a week ago I thought this movie was on its way to between 2.3-2.5 billion.

lol yes I know there are a lot of differences such has ticket price and titanic not having 3d and IMAX to start it just like I said though I though this movie was for sure going to pass titanic a week ago so I would be disappointed now if what look like a for sure thing a week or so ago didn't happened. I have always said I don't think re-release should count when it comes to boxoffice because not all movies get them and some have had a lot of them but then again not all movies have 3d either so yeah.

It real be very interesting to see how while episode 8 does in china. Also considering there is like a 600m WW gap between titanic and avatar and even if star wars passes titanic it will most likely be still like 500m gap between 1 and 2 I think avatar is going to have the record for a while.

Why would you be disappointed? I mean, even if it doesn't surpass Titanic WW, it it still hitting $2 billion, which is an achievement by itself. Besides 2 other movies, everyone else can only dream about this at the moment.

For real though 2017 is going to be an epic year for the Box Office assuming Avatar 2 really does come out in time for that date.

Vegas will probably be taking bets as to whether it or EVIII comes out on top?
