Easter Eggs (SPOILERS)

I think we're missing one!
When General Swanwick gives the clearance word over the phone, he says:
"The word of the day is Trident."
Trident = Aquaman

The LexCorp building from the trailer is still in the movie. The scene was just reversed. In the trailer when the fireballs are flying through the sky from left to right you see the LexCorp building on the left, but in movie after Zod and Superman destroy the satellite and the fireball debris is falling to Earth it is falling from right to left and the LexCorp building is on the right of screen.

Wasn't someone supposed to be at the bank or a store or something?

Also, thought I saw a Lexi-Corp tanker truck that Zod kicked at Supes

The idea of Krypton as a space-faring civilization that eventually became insular, cutting off itself from it's many faraway colonies, seems almost like a reference to the Daxamites (Kryptonians only they are poisoned by Lead instead of Kryptonite) and also a bit of the DCAU Supergirl, who was a Kryptonian (or something ridiculously close) from another planet near Rao.

Oh, and here's another one I found that nobody else has pointed out yet here: At one point during the Metropolis sequences, you can see an ad for a "Utopia Casino". The Utopia Casino was a key location in the Superman Confidential story arc "Kryptonite" by Darwyn Cooke and Tim Sale.

just because the ship has been there for 18,000 years doesn't mean Kara has been out and about for that time.she could've been in frozen, suspended animation until very recently. indeed, considering when Clark goes to the ship one of those security drones is already up and about,I'm of the thought process that Kara waking up and leaving her pod set off the emergency signal that Zod and Co. homed in on,more than Clark accidentally triggering it. so,theoretically, she could be out in the world for less than a year, confused, in distress trying to adapt to the new atmosphere, and not knowing the native languages.she could be wandering the arctic wastes, surviving because of the sun, but not knowing what was going on with her powers, i.e. not knowing she could fly, etc.

maybe word reaches the Planet of a story about a woman found by Eskimo's who supposedly has strange powers. a story that could interest someone like Clark Kent.

I so hope that there may yet be room for Kara in this universe. Due to her age, I imagine that when she and Clark do meet, they'll establish that they are indeed from the same House, and thus very distant cousins - Jor-El talked of Krypton's 100,000 years of glory and we see the House of El symbol on a flag at some time in history. I get the sense that Krypton didn't change much during that time, so Kara would be an ordinary Kryptonian, so to say.

Two other theories - Kara's ship is more recent and accidentally time travelled when they went through the wormhole.

OR... horribly big jump, the Legion picked her up and time travelled with her... :woot:

I had no idea of the Wayne Enterprise's logo being on the satellite, but I did catch the LexCorp references. I loved the references to Lana Lang and Pete Ross. When the girl was first shown, I saw the red hair and knew it was Lana.

Alright, I'll just turn this brand new billion dollar satellite on and.....who are THOSE GUYS?!

Pretty sure there are some visual nods to Braniac in the film.

And the "Guardian" cosign for Col. Hardy is an interesting one to consider.

2 more:

Chad Krowchuk (Woodburn) played Wendell Johnson in the 4th season (Forever) where the FotW preserves the highschool/yearbook people.
Tahmoh Penikett (Jed Ubanks) played Vince Davis in season 3 (Resurrection) AND Wes Keenan in Season 6 (Prototype & Nemesis).
That was the WORST episode.

Just reread Birthright tonight. The DCU references in that book are perfection. Not hit-me-over-the-head-with-it like a Marvel movie but not as hidden Easter Eggy as this one had.

Once you know what you're looking for, you can actually spot the Wayne Enterprises logo on the satellite two or three times.

What I found curious? It looks like the same logo from the TDK trilogy.

Now was that logo lifted right from some comics, or was it a variation on various WE logos?

Cause if it's just from TDK... then maybe that means something?

IDK.

I'll not stop hoping for a Bale/Cavill team-up until the day they recast the Bat. And even then... lol. To have a good Bat and a good Supes and not see them team-up... the waste of potential is just always going to gnaw at so many of us.

From what I remember hearing it was simply an Easter Egg/throwback for fans. Doesn't mean the two films are in the same continuity. Which in and of itself is rather confusing. Make a new Wayne logo that will be used in future Batman films

I might be crazy, but toward the climax when Superman and Zod are flying through Metropolis, you can barely see a WGBS sign in bright green.

Boy, I hope I'm not the only one who might have caught that.

That was the WORST episode.

Ooh no for me the worst episode has always been Magnetic, it's the only episode of Smallville that I was bored the whole way through.

But on MOS with the Wayne Enterprises logo you really had to know it was there and I think to really spot it you'd need the DVD/Blu-Ray.

What was the Martian manhunter reference

Was there one? :wow:

This.

I honestly wouldn't have noticed the Wayne Enterprises logo if it hadn't been mentioned already. I caught all of the LexCorp references than anything.
