Yeah, take that Visionary.spidermanhero12 said:elfman is the best composer ever, his music is so heart warming.

Man...i thought i was the only one who played some tales tune while i played the ladies.....high-5 to ya my friend!!Because I love starting up the Tales Of The Crypt theme when I'm making out with my lover.

i consider elfman the best though, his music set the mood for the qwhole movie.Mr. Stay Puft said:Elfman is most certainly one of the greatest composers ever...but I don't know if he's the absolute best. I tend to reserve that spot for John Williams, as much as I love Elfman's work.

Kipobe said:I just couldn't put into words how happy I was by this. I actually thought I posted this up about a month or so ago, because I heard the rumors, and whilst I shunned them because I couldn't afford my heart to be broken again, I still listened everyday for updates. Then a staff member of a site I visit occasionally kept dropping hints that this was a reality. To see confirmation from Curtis was just about the greatest.
Seriously, it doesn't get any better than this. Well, if he was doing the entire thing from top to bottom that would be better... but this is just stunning news and it took me a few days to even comprehend it. I've actually gone back and watched Spider-Man with renewed joy, because I know that the theme's evolution isn't over but can continue and find new highs with what I've long said will be the best in the series (musically).
This is just THE best news I've heard about this movie so far. And if Fonda and my wife ever drop dead, I'm soooooo marrying that man!![]()
Party pooperMr 7000+ said:Dammit! Elfman is so freakin overrated. His scores for the spidey movies aren't that great and aren't even that memorable. To be honest, I think the guy's lost his touch.
damnit!, oh well atleast we have the main spidey theme back and the awesome goblin theme back, and I love that "fate" theme. too bad elfman isn't coming back, he was my favorite composer!!!I hate to rain on everyone's party, but to the contrary, a recent interview with Christopher Young doesn't indicate Elfman is working on Spider-Man 3 at all, which means Curtis either lied or was misinformed. In the interview (he is being interviewed about both Ghost Rider and Spider-Man 3), he says that he is keeping three of Elfman themes: 1) the heroic Spider-Man theme, 2) the Green Goblin theme to represent Harry Osbourne taking over his father's role and 3) the "fate" theme that was in the second movie. Everything else, including Sandman, Venom, the black symbiote, etc. will have new themes composed by Young.
Read the interview here. It was posted two days ago, so it's pretty recent. The mods can lock this up now, because it's clear Elfman isn't co-composing or doing new themes for the third film.
