Amusingly enough, what he said of The Shield (good people using questionable means) still applies to The Shield perfectly. So I could still be right. Watch it, it's a flat-out fantastic show about police officers using corrupt means to lower crime rates.

I could definitely see Mr Bennet thinking he's doing it all for the greater good.

I've also thought about that, and maybe he is, which would make it all even better

Actually that would get them caught by the security cameras. By switching the cards he was able to stop everything from actually seeing him switch the cards.

Although its strange though his time stop has to have some hole into it. Is he freezing all time, like is the whole world stopping? Or is he creating a vortex time collapse around him to be able to do what he needs to do long enough.

Similar case is in X-2 when professor X froze everyone to get his students out of the situation that was caused by pyro. Even with everyone froze the t.v. was still going on behind them.

It does seem though that his powers definetly develop though because at the end when he freezes the subway to confront peter it was almost like someone turned the light off just.

professor X didnt stop time. he stopped the peoples minds.. X doesnt even have time stopping powers! yeesh...

as for Hiro's time stoppage, even if he did look at the other cards, the camera wouldnt catch him, time was stopped. cameras cant record in stopped time.

also, i'm pretty sure the whole world stops, it wouldnt make sense for it to be localized.. that would screw up the time stream.

Claire doesn't kill the kid in the car. If you read the comic on NBC.com you'll see she never intended to kill him, only to "punish" him. However, I think this could have been revealed in the next show. Oh well.

All bonafide japanese samurais had those. Only thing I noticed is that, judging by the position of the sword, Hiro must be a leftie.

Haven't read the thread really since well its too big so probably repeating. Really getting into the show, Hiro is the show for me and ninja-hiro... well all he need's is to get an eyepatch and say "Yaaarrrr!" every so often and he officially becomes the coolest thing ever.

When Peter is next to him I was thinking, why doesn't Pete just 'take' his power and unfreeze time. You better believe Mohinder would buy into the powers thing then. I liked the fact they realised the light is provided by a frequency and so stopping time stopped the lights. Nice touch.

On the otherhand of Hiro. Nathan is completely worthless, I assume he is there to kill off as the season ender or something 'cos otherwise he is useless. Nothing redeeming about him, nothing likeable, nothing of interest. Nikki is pretty much the same, ironic they 'come together'. I like Peter, he's a nice guy, nieve and goes with his heart a lot. Down to earth, in fact he is kinda like Peter Parker; so they got the right name for him. Its going to be insane to see them together as a group and Peter in the middle of them, an invulnerable, teleporting, mind reading, psychopathic, flying, time traveling future teller. Look out world... ooohhhhh wait. Time traveling... psychopath.... Sylar? What happens if Peter mimics Nikki's power, he must go psycho killer too surely. Maybe as above his brother is killed for being useless and it sets him off to the path to evil. Anyway the rest bar maybe the cop are kinda meh. Good writing otherwise and assume this is a case of too many cooks holding back most of the characters. Its early days anyway, few shows are this good so early into a season, it usually takes the first season to find their feet.

i think Natha rocks, from the beginning i liked the Petrelli brothers.
seeing Nate take off like that in the preview was awesome.. every team needs it *******, and Nate is it. hes the badass with a heart of gold... ok, maybe silver. but still, he has major potential... plus he flies man!!

Nathan will come through. He's just not as morally upright as some of the other characters and I think that makes him more interesting. There is a hero in there, its just under a lot of baggage.

My main problem is the stereotypes. Comic relief asian...druggie latino...criminal black guy (who hasn't shown up yet...must be on cp time *ba dum ching*). It's almost like the writer's went out of their way to BE stereotypical...
