I thought they did a great job of representing Rogues powers more than Rogue ever did.

Why didn't Kinberg have Trask go after Rogue's blood? That would have actually made sense. Oh yeah I forgot. Kinberg's a hack.

Wonder what surprises he's got in store for Fant4stic.

It sady looks like Kelly gave all hope up. No safe haven for fans of the Fantastic Four anymore

Nah, that thread had run it's course. It's clear the rights aren't going anywhere for awhile.

Because Rogue wan't played by Jennifer Lawrence. :cwink:

Ivy and I think origin, her costume was accurate. Mr Freeze and his origin and costume, Bane and his origin and costume though not his intellect that's for sure, were all very accurate

actually the only "accurate" ivy costume was the one she briefly war at the fundraiser event for the rainforest.. there was nothing accurate about scary spice horns and leafy eyebrows

and bane's origin was not accurate at all

So it looks from the teaser that they start the N-Zone experiment in a low level lab and then move to a fancier Government funded one.

Random, but I always wonder about how studios decide which letter they will use to swap out for a number. I know that a "4" looks vaguely like an "A" but obviously the sound is completely different. So what's better than? Using numbers as letters so that you can actually pronounce them and the title still sounds right (a la 2 Fast 2 Furious), or inserting a number in an odd place so that an unknowing person might completely mispronounce the title: "Hey man, are you going to see Fantfourstic tonight?"

Good to know. How does that relate to Hank McCoy again?

Hank was suppressing his Beastmode with drugs. Not a cure ala the Hulk. It wasn't that he was angry to transform it's emotional at all. He diid it at will in DC.

I still have hope this movie fails as hard as it should. :csad:

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I believe that even if this film flops, Fox will try soft rebooting (with this cast) into the X-Men universe as a last ditch effort. I really hope Disney gets their attorneys after them if they try a stunt like that though. I don't believe for a moment that when Marvel myopically made these deals that they anticipated that studios would try to milk these brands for everything they were worth. They probably figured they would make a few films, the popularity would run its course and eventually the rights would revert.

Or maybe it starts out as the fancier lab and it's get trashed in the accident so they have to rebuild a cheapo version.

(Your suggestion seems to fit better with that shot of Kebbell in the white suit though, as I'm guessing that is pre-accident Doom).

Even that is a stretch to me. Marvel took an obscure property and made it into a smash hit. Fox takes a premier property and flushes it down the toilet.

When the first Thor came out and they did that opening shot of Asguard coming up from under the water, I wrote a review the next day saying that shot captured Jack Kirby's immagination and inventiveness. That is what the FF should have been and wasn't.

This movie is going in the extreme polar opposite direction. A movie filmed in dark hallways for the FF? Kirby is rolling over in his grave.
basically this. The whole design seen in this trailer is the polar opposite of everything Kirby has ever done
 Why not just hope that it surprises you and turns out to be a great film?
because no matter what, this isn't a Fantastic Four movie and I simply can't agree with something that calles itself an adaptation of an IP I grew up with and ignores everything that IP stood for

To me, this all sounds like denial and excuses for the fact that this was a blatant rip off. That was not Beast. You could've swapped Banner in that scene as-is and no one would've balked.

simple.. why want a film to be great that's ultimately nothing like the characters you know and love, and just a hollow shell of who they are suppose to be. ?

This film doing good, actually causes more harm. it can change the books and the way the younger generations perceive these characters to be.

if this film does well or decent.. it could prevent us from seeing the characters we actually do know and love from finally getting a proper film.
