that extremely worries me. Stuff like this makes it hard for the GA to differentiate between Marvel Studios movies and the F0Xt4stic films and could hurt the Marvel brand

Maybe once they see the movie and realize it's not a part of any bigger universe they'll be disappointed.

I never thought of how similar the "4" in the FF logo is to the "A" in Avengers until just now. :funny:

"One of these things is not like the other. One of these things just doesn't belong."

None of that really matters. Its a Marvel property, they will see that with the logo. When audiences go see the film opening weekend they will know its a stand alone film and WOM will determine its fate from the jump. This film better be able to stand on its on two feet. Anybody out of the loop looking for any connections to the MCU will figure that out immediately.

But I'm not talking about Fox's other movies ! I'm talking about this new one and what we've known and seen about it so far. I see the UFF influence over almost everything.

And regarding the characters, you can't see anything familiar in their mannerisms/behaviour/hobbies ? ANYTHING ?

Johnny working at ease on a car isn't remotely familiar? 616 (no, he would have been too young, MK--sure I could see this, UFF- definitely a Johnny-esque thing to do. But, NO...tells me nothing of his personality.

Sue looking focused and professional at work and then deeply affected by her brother's state isn't remotely familiar? 616 - Nothing of Sue (except, and I'll talk on that later), MK Sue -- Yes, working as part of the team on computer (though she is a teacher in MK), UFF -- Definitely computer whiz, as far as characterization, all I see is a clip of Sue holding Johnny...(yes on all counts 616, MK and UFF), shows they do have a deeper relationship. But, not to the GA, but to me as a fan of the comics, yes I see that.

Reed looking like a quiet and unconfident science nerd and like a kid in a candy store as he walks through a science facility isn't remotely familiar?
Reed was and and is the most brilliant mind in the world, nothing uncertain about him. Reed's ability is pretty much the same in 616, MK and UFF. Saw nothing of that in the teaser.

Ben looking like a tough and confident athlete isn't remotely familiar? Ben was built like an offensive lineman, not a baseball player, even in the UFF. But, showed that he was athletic, ok.

Reed and Ben spending time together as kids while the former makes a science experiment related to his future work isn't remotely familiar? To a 616 fan? no, they met in college...to a UFF fan -- yes, pretty much.

Well... to each their own I guess :csad:

Once again, you have to understand the MAJOR DIFFERENCES between the 616 comics and UFF.....and if you are a fan of the 616? Then little of this movie is familiar except that there are 4 people, and one other guy.

And the BIGGEST PROBLEM people have is Doom, which we pretty much saw nothing of, except the one thing that scares people the most. "Trash bag Doom".

So, it is very much about "to each his own" because to each here they have their favorite comic, and to most of them they do not know why they would not adapt from when the comics were at their highest in popularity and bring that to today.

So yes, to each his own...

They are reshooting the third act. This film is still a mess...but hey baseball cornfields and space....only to go the Negative Zone or as I like to call it Not Space.

Last summer, when I discussed the conversation I had with an important crew member (who hated Trank) they said "Chronicle meets Nolan", this is exactly what this trailer feels like . Generic AF.

and EW article likens to the Ultimate Fantastic Four.

It seems everyone has a source regarding this movie! Not for any other movie coming this summer! Hook me up with these contacts who have worked on this movie.

There are lots of conflicting reports. I get the feeling that this is a classic case of a director having a specific vision which some execs at the studio after seeing the rought cut find it too dark and sombre. They are probably scared that it isn't going to be accessible to a wider audience and hence demanded reshoots. Unfortunately, that will make the movie feel disjointed and rushed if last minute reshoots are inserted. My suggestion to fox, let Josh trank do it the way he wants.

What I kinda found funny in the collider interview was that Josh admitted that he did 1.5 week reshoots on chronicle which was shot in around 35 days. And then says FF was shot in around 72 days so...i guess keeping in mind the chronicle reshoots, 3 weeks of reshoots on FF shouldn't really come as a surprise..i.e. If they are still reshooting or already done. Josh probably doesn't find it all that alarming lol

Btw Chris stuckmann has as a source that said opposite...

really? looks like terrible green screen to me still.. the light on reed is completely different than the light in the background... the shadow contrast does not match up at all. looks awful to me *shrug*

They get the 42 million by adding up the views of every instance of the trailer posted, not just the official one. Kinda deceitful, but it's Fox so what do you expect?

I don't understand how he can say 42 million when the video says 14 million.

Does that include international views that aren't listed on the youtube views?

I think it includes total worldwide views across all online platforms. Ex: apple, YouTube,
etc

You do realise that only fox does not have the trailer uploaded on their YouTube channel.

World War Z had extensive reshoots. That turned out fine.

And if Fox is demanding reshoots because the film lacks fun... well it isn't the Fantastic Four if Human Torch can't tell a joke and there aren't massive action set pieces.
