random sci-fi movie.
That should be the title.
Ha ha. Sounds like a comedy spoof movie. Appropriate since, this seems more like a spoof of the Fantastic Four. Maybe The Wayans brothers should've directed this?

t:Days of Future Past was so well written they had to resort to pulling time travel powers out of Kitty Pryde's ass because there was no other way to make the thing work. Nothing like Fox's steady commitment to fidelity and careful attention to detail.
They did that as a tribute to the original story where Kitty was the one to travel back in time.
It still didn't make sense. Contrived is an understatement, as well as the magic potion that renders Xavier's psychic powers defunct while giving him the ability to walk. And this is from someone who really liked DOFP.
DOFP was written as an apology for Fox making terrible X-men films. Any further insight into the screenplay is pointless. Kitty Pride was a plot device and Quick Silver as the proverbial Deus Ex Machina.
If you were not invested in the X-men films, then DOFP meant nothing to you. It didn't expand the audience to a new generation the way that First Class tried to.
It's an enjoyable film, but there's a reason on why it was predicted to be the no 1 film of the summer and wasn't.
Yeah, it fixed X3's continuity issues and killing of Cyclops while establishing XMO as completely non-canon, then rebooting the timeline. As somebody who cared, I liked the apology.
And Kinberg also wrote the first Sherlock Holmes movie. He's actually a pretty good writer.

He also did Jumper, X3, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Huntee and several other dreadful movies. I still attribute everything good about DOFP to Singer.
Like nothing anyone's done can be seen as good or great if they've been attached to this project.
I've said here and elsewhere that I like DOFP and chronicle. However nothing about this sounds good, or like a proper FF film, so there's no sense in complaining about the negativity.
Also, you did nothing to refute what it is we are saying. Kinberg has made just as many, if not more, bad films than good. Are you going to try and refute that, or just complain more about the negativity?
Do we really have to discredit DOFP in order to discredit Kinberg? Seriously, is the hate for FF that strong?

Kinberg is another Goyer. Leave him to his own devices, and mediocrity follows.
DOFP discredits itself, imo. A huge step back from FC (which also had its issues)Do we really have to discredit DOFP in order to discredit Kinberg? Seriously, is the hate for FF that strong?
agreedDoes everyone have to think DoFP was the bestest thing ever? Does everyone have to worship it? Is it beyond reproach? Should we avert our eyes and drop to our knees and only speak of it in hushed tones so as not to incite it's divine wrath?
Imo it was decent but nowhere near the amazing film X-fans try to paint it as. It's a movie with numerous problems that do a fine job of "discrediting" it on their own.

A snippet of Teller's latest comments on playing Reed (From Empire):
"As for how fans should expect to see Mister Fantastic's powers portrayed in this version, it does sound like it will be a little less cartoonish than the previous movies and the comics. "If he's this gummy guy slinging around, it looks ridiculous," the actor claimed before adding: "What does that feel like for a young guy, to have no control over his body?"
I know what I think of that...The rest of you can make up your own minds.
