And that's probably intentional. She's got it tied up, it's kind of messy, but not in a sexy way. They're obviously not going for the beauty queen version of the character.

I don't like being negative when it comes to the actors, I don't have anything against any of them, so I probably couldn't have skipped the hair comments. I have to say that it is better than some barbie doll stuff they did with Alba in the 2nd movie. So that's a positive...

The scenes with Mara and her awful wig were clearly done in reshoots. You're the only one here who thinks otherwise. Like so many have said in this very thread. The reshoots for this film slept trouble especially when Kinberg lied about them lasting 3-4 days.

As for the otoy thing. Trank wanted to use it because it was cheaper way of producing VFX. Its a program that's not really used on these types of films and Frank was experimenting with it for a long time as I recall. It was discussed in this threads a while ago if you were here. The VFX look sub par as result of them using tech they didn't even know how to use properly.

You know what I mean by tone. The overall feel of the film. Its just off to the FF i grew up reading. The sense of adventure and awe isn't there. That's what sets the FF apart from other superheros out there. They are explorers. But here we are presented with something entirely different. Almost horror like. And I simply do not like it.

Also you really need to go back and read the other threads. Some of us have been following this production for a long time, meaning we're up to date with everything that has been going on. Its gets frustrating that we constantly have to depart ourselves when someone else comes In and starts asking oh why do you guys think this movie will be bad when you haven't seen it. Oh when did Trank say this? Oh these are just rumours. Where's the proof etc

I just don't know how people even recognize a bad wig. Are they wig experts, capable of intelligently discussing the qualities of said wig?

When it drastically changes color from scene to scene and doesn't match the actress.

Can't wait for the replies he'll post for these comments.

Soon we're gonna be told there were no reshoots. Just watch. Lol Somebody needs to post side by side comparison of Maras hair in the trailers. Can't do it cause I'm on my phone.

Pfffft, I'm more than qualified to talk about Trank and this "FFed up" movie. I've gotten Oscars for my s***. :argh:

In of itself it doesn't look so bad to me, but it's a bad wig selection because it looks very different than her hair in the other shots.

I probably shouldn't be surprised that the closer this movie gets to release, the more ridiculous, hare-brained, and off-the-wall the complaints about it become, but one would think that, at a certain point, it would become obvious that the complaining accomplishes nothing and that the movie is going to succeed or fail based on its own merits and not on what a very small minority of its potential audience thinks it ought to be.

On the way if somebody else doesn't beat me to it.

Well I've got Super Oscars! Oscars so elite and special they don't even exist! :cmad:

Which scenes? You keep making really vague statements without anything to back them up but "because I said so".

As for the otoy thing. Trank wanted to use it because it was cheaper way of producing VFX. And you know this is subpar VFX because of that because...

someone told you this?

Or because you recognize the component elements of CGI and can point them out?

You know what I mean by tone. The overall feel of the film. Its just off to the FF i grew up reading. The sense of adventure and awe isn't there. That's what sets the FF apart from other superheros out there. They are explorers. But here we are presented with something entirely different. Almost horror like. And I simply do not like it.

The FF you grew up reading is a comic book.

This is a grounded movie based on said. Of course the tone isn't exactly the same as whichever story and vague tone you're currently referencing.

But...are you saying the Four are not being presented as explorers in these trailers?

Seriously?

Also you really need to go back and read the other threads. Some of us have been following this production for a long time, meaning we're up to date with everything that has been going on. No.

That is beyond unreasonable.

If you don't want to be asked to explain yourself when you make such
accusations, simply stop responding.

I've followed enough of this thread to know that MUCH of it consists of just that; rumors...and conjecture that hasn't been proven, and ultimately shouldn't have anything to do with the film itself.

Based on the new trailer I think some of our earlier speculation (that Sue might not go to the N-zone on the first mission but be caught in the accident from Earth-side) is probably correct. I think this is her here:

sue_zpsoz3vub95.gif

you're probably right.. even the explosion looks like her abilities.. does this mean doom falls in green lava, thing falls into orange rock, johnny into fire.. and mr. fantastic get's "stretched" between worlds?

We've been told, I kid you not, that Toby Kebbell's interview where he revealed Domashev was a rumor. It was an on-camera interview.

And technically there were two of them.

Dang! People really took that Xmen/Avengers crossover rumor in 2020 seriously. I don't see that ever happening.

Could he have possibly used the word 'generic' any more times? :funny:

I'm sure many around here will horrified by this, but I think X-Men/FF and Avengers/X-Men/FF crossovers could happen.

I think the key word is 'control'. Marvel seems to have a strict policy of not giving up any control, but if they can do something that gives them more control they'll consider it. That's Spider-man happened - it gave Marvel more control while benefitting Sony.

So if Marvel were to say: "We will let you do a X-Men/FF crossover and we will work with you on an Avengers/X-Men crossover, but we will need more control and a big say in how and where the characters will be used . . . oh, and we will also want the ability to use characters like Galactus and Dr. Doom in upcoming Marvel films." I think that's within the realm of possibility (particularly with the Spider-man precedent). It may be difficult to work out the details, but I think Fox might realize that there's more money to be had by partnering with Marvel.

And FF provides the mechanism by which all this could happen. The Negative Zone could provide a bridge between the three alternate Earths - X-Men, Marvel and Fantastic Four.

It's probably still highly unlikely, but after Sony, I think it's at least possible.

So after that Trailer who is still going to see this still?

I am not seeing this s***.

In fact, I feel weird even talking about the trailer and other stuff with you guys here knowing I won't be actually watching it in theaters. I think I'm in some sort of mourning period...it feels like a death. Like I'm watching the final opportunity to do this thing right DIE before my very eyes. :csad: Because after this, the general moviegoing audiences will be so soured on the F4 it'll be a joke to even bring them into the MCU. I've never seen a studio repeatedly rape and ruin a franchise over such political matters to the actual detriment of the franchise's future cinematic value.

Pisses me off to no end.

When it drastically changes color from scene to scene and doesn't match the actress.

Right, but maybe there's a reason it changes color. For instance, maybe some time passes...I dunno.

Just seems nitpicky.

Oh I remember that lol.:funny:

Because it looks like a cheap wig and doesn't look anything like real hair or Kate Mara's...? It's not science.

Dollars to donuts it's actually made of real hair. Most cinema wigs are.

I don't see why it doesn't look like real hair. It not looking like Kate Mara's hair should be irrelevant. It's for a character.

Alright, you're trolling. Got it.

For reference, the shot on the right is the footage people are referring to when discussing the bad wig:

Real hair on the left for comparison of course.
