And while I enjoy visual irony, Jamie Bell's voice is not working for The Thing. At all.

Holy crap. What the hell happenend to the thread? Again!

I do feel bad for the fans looking forward to this because I am a DC fan so I know what it's like to have the films you are looking forward to nit picked and randomly attacked by certain fanbases. For that reason I do have mixed feelings even posting on this thread the way I do. I am careful how I voice my negative opinions though.

I have my biases like anybody else but I'd like to believe that I wouldn't ignore horrible behind the scenes stories, massive reshoots and a *****ebag director just because I am a DC fan.

I suspect it is sort of trying to be a counter balance of the negativity. I don't understand it, because the facts are pretty obvious about this movie. Yes, it isn't pretty. And it can be hard to admit that about something you like.

I do feel for the FF fans. If that is their priority, than I don't blame them for not wanting to see this film. Everyone has different criteria for picking the movie they will see. A ton of Godzilla fans can't get past their fandom to enjoy Godzilla '98. I enjoy it as a fun monster movie, which is something Godzilla got me into. I would hope some would be able to enjoy it if is a good movie, despite not really being an FF movie. But, those that have their fandom at the forefront, shouldn't be disparaged.

And now, return to the current train wreck. I think I am going to bow out.

PS: I still liked the trailer, despite a few issues.

There is so much to criticize in this final trailer. I truly did not expect it to underwhelm me anymore than I already am.

Maybe Marvel will be able to use Dr. Doom in Phase 12.

That'll get me out of the nursing home :o.

It is one thing to "fight back" against constant criticism. It is another to be blind to stuff like the wig. At that point, it is so clear one isn't trying to be fair, that it gets out of hand.

I'm all for constructive criticism. Stuff like saying "all the acting and effects are bad", opinions notwithstanding, are ridiculous statements. If people are going to make assertions like that, you'd expect them to be able to discuss it with some intelligence.

I'm not blind to the wig, I just don't care that much.

I don't go to movies and look for wig quality and continuity. I go to movies and my imagination takes over.

When I break things down, I look for things like deftly handled characters, nuanced acting, clever eye movements, thematic relevance, etc. I don't really have the time to be looking at how good a wig is or how many folds or buckles their costume has.

You're just saying that now because we reamed you on the witness stand for defending Wighazi.

Ah, so if they decided to make this movie with just cardboard boxes, you'd be good then. Yeah, no one cares about production values. That is why they spend so much money on these films.

Attention to detail is reflected through out.

Well you must be a pretty sophisticated filmgoer, then.

Forgive us laypeople for paying attention to things like sets and costuming. We can assure the wig is bad.

Do you own 3 Dev Adam?

Yep....pretty funny movie. I've been working on collecting all superhero related movies and TV shows for a long time. I also try to collect most comic book related movies and TV shows. I have pretty obscure stuff.....but there's always something out there eluding me somewhere.

You're confusing radio with moving picture shows.

Not surprised. It's that damned trailer.

But what I want to know is this: Where are you all hearing Jamie Bell's voice through the Thing? Is it in the trailer? I didn't get that memo. :csad:

Do mine eyes deceive me or is that some ugly ass composting? She isnt integrated well at all. Did they just shoot all the reshoots in a green room and paste her onto a digital environment?

Oh, and that wig looks like Fox found it in the Lost-and-Found box.

"You can't fix this. No one can" - the Thing.

Honestly...I genuinely think they did that for most of the reshoots. Like the rest of the film, from the looks of it. Green screen and lab sets with the occasional outdoor moment.

well the thing is, things trend when negative too.. people seem to forget that...

and in all honesty... im not seeing alot of positive... if it's not negative.. it's "indifferent" like posts like "I don't see Jessica Alba" and "I guess i'll give it a shot"

Yes, that was actually Jessica Alba's wig from 7 years ago. They just cut, trimmed and feathered that s*** up. #onabudget

I wonder if the composting was so bad.. that that's the real reason everything went from red to green... if the Special FX arn't lit or edited well enough, the green glow on that black fabric and skin is much harder to edit to red than it is for them just to keep the green reflected light from the green screen, and change the background green.....

meaning.. the reshoots might of not let in enough time for instance for the color to be corrected... and well.. that wig wouldn't be the easiest thing to color correct... so for time constraints, they just turned everything green
