I think the big factor will be the reshoots and how well they blend with the original material, if they stick out like a sore thumb (and from the sounds of it Mara's wig does a good job of making it easy to spot) then I can see the critics ripping the film apart. Right now CBMs are starting to reach the point where its sort of cool to not like them, if the reshoots don't blend then that is just sloppy work and will make the film an easy target.

I think it's too early to say that it's a trend. The critics weren't easy on any of the 2013 comicbook movies either and in 2014 with the exception of TASM 2 they really liked 2014's output much more. This could easily be just another 2013 situation.

When and where is the World Premiere for this movie being held?

That's a good question it seems like they won't have a World Premier but they would have to considering it's a CBM and suppose to be Fox's biggest summer movie of the year right?

I have been watching the Syfy channel for a few hours now and every commercial break they have played the Fantastic Four dennys commercial and the latest TV spot. Figures they would air them this late at night (between 11pm-2am) and on the science fiction channel.

If I had to guess I'd say around an Amazing Spider-Man 2/Man of Steel RT score. The critics don't seem as enamored with the Superhero movies this year in general and I see that trend continuing.

I think it just comes down to this year being a bad year for CBMs. Avengers 2 was underwhelming, Ant-Man doesn't seem to be doing too well (though I will say the sequence I saw at the Disneyland preview this week was fun, the whole sizzle reel left me feeling like it'll be a better 4D show than movie) and Fantastic Four has disaster written all over it in neon letters you can see from space. I have faith next year though will be much more satisfying, like 2014. A nice wide variety of styles, tones and subject matter.

I'm with you, I don't watch that much television anymore either. I was watching it more than usual this past weekend though. I have seen a lot of Ant-Man spots when I do watch television, that is coming out sooner though so that's to be expected.

This is a big of what you will find here, no point in pointing at it, but for most Fantastic Four fans the disappointment is understandable, after two disappointing movies last decade, a 90s mess, and this time in the golden age of CBMs the movie won't keep the characters as they were introduced and made lovable in the comics, fans of this franchise never got the movie they wanted, and they won't be getting it with this one.
I'm uncertain how reactions to the film will be like post release.

So the trailer is coming out today.

I've thought past trailers were pretty good for what this film is so I do not expect to dislike the new one. I do get why they didn't release it today though, they probably knew that WB would drop the Suicide Squad trailer or footage after it leaked.

I agree with you. FOX generally does not make critically well-received CBM films. If you take Bryan Singer's contributions out of the equation, you are left with some of the following examples:

At some point I think we as a community, when it comes to these particular discussions, will find it prudent to stop looking at these things by studio(studio wars) and actually zero in on the people behind the camera. For example, if Nolan or Whedon or Cameron... found themselves making a fox or sony cbm right now how much weight would a post like yours really carry over the fact they those three talents are making said movie?
Notice how Singer and Vaughn have kinda been making hits for fox, consistenly? And the people that make failures kinda have a track record at that?
This not being marvel means less studio stamp, at least recently anyways. Another case would be this Deadpool thing...I digress.
The only thing I'm personally looking at going in here is the writer and directors current trends in this genre.

I love how some of the folks here that are still excited for Fantastic 4 all have Batman gif as their avatars.

Here's my take on things...
I feel that when filming first started the studio was totally behind it. They thought they would have another big franchise. But deep into production after the studio got to see what their money was being invested in came away underwhelmed and realized they made a mistake with their choice of director but it was too late to stop now...so they don't shovel too much money into marketing (As we've seen...marketing for the film isn't that big) and just hoping to make up some of the costs.

If Spider-Man under Marvel's care does well...they will likely hand the property over the Marvel to work their magic.

The wig is bad, and the weird green glow they've added to the Negative Zone pretty much confirms that the concept art leak of a weird radioactive green Thing was real. I suppose it's good they rethought his color for the actual film, so... yay? Hopefully the general audience doesn't get suckered into seeing this garbage.
