A little meatier than previous trailers, but it still doesn't do much to offer a compelling story, show anything unique or unlike other films we've seen, and it still looks very similar to the first Tim Story film. Doom gets powers because of Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four and then they have to fight him. So basically they're protecting the world from a threat they created . . . again.

Why do the posters show NYC apparently under attack while there doesn't seem to be any evidence of that here?

Just an odd, mediocre, un-compelling cap to an odd, mediocre, un-compelling marketing campaign.

Looks very Marvel, so much for that originality they claimed.
Is Mara's obvious wig from the reshoots? Because it really stands out like a sore thumb.
And Doom looked even worse than I imagined he would.

I think that's why they have to go back to the Negative Zone or Planet Fitness, whatever they are calling it. Energy or Doom from there causes it.

Good god, that wig. It's so bad and the trailer goes back and forth between dirty blonde Kate Mara and bright blonde Kate Mara. It's so terrible.

I loved the shots of bad wig Mara and all the extra CG that's been added onto stuff we've seen before. It confirmed that the 3-4 days of reshoots crap was a lie and everyone who bought it is a sucker.

The trailer had a lot of almost 'cliche' lines that you'd expect in generic trailers, but other than that, I enjoyed the trailer a lot, it's a big step up from the past trailers. The Thing looks a lot better in motion than in stills.

I don't like the look of Doom much but I've never really been a massive fan of the character so I can let it slide.

To be fair they could've sold me on a whole trailer of Sue Storm using force bubbles and Michael B Jordan flying with her

What took them so long to release a trailer like this?

Not even being a smart alec here, just telling you what happened: at the panel on Saturday, it was revealed that the film was finished only three days prior. That's why. The film wasn't anywhere close to done before now.

I actually thought the trailer was pretty nice.

The thing moves really weird though, he looks out of place if that makes sense. Will still see it opening weekend and perhaps it'll look better then but at the moment I'm worried about the thing, looks cheap.

Hopefully they fix the different shots of Mara's hair because that's going to bother me if it goes unexplained

People know how I feel about this film but I actually really liked the beginning of the trailer. The bit with Reed in the beginning was really really good. But from there it just went downhill.

The Thing sounds like Jamie Bell, I didn't hear any modifications

Yeah, he's pretty much the naked rock boy....

Oh and the 2:21 Mark! Domashev in his full glory...

No wonder there was no real hype after the panel for this trailer.

The overall move sounds pretty cut in dry (Discover Dimension, get new powers, fight Domashev, the end!)

Did I mention I'll be doing something else on 8/7?

Watch this thing become a surprise hit of the summer. I just have this feeling. It kinda hits all the marks for a summer movie. Young cast, spectacle, kinda diverse, etc.

They're not fixing anything. This trailer took so long to get here because the film finally finished. This is what you're getting, choppy animations and bad wigs.
