Trank is his own worst enemy. Fox need to slap a ball gag on him and not bring him in for any other projects considering how little they market their films in general. If he can't be respectful towards his own audience, then maybe he's not cut out for big budget filmmaking.

I'm not giving them a dime, but I don't support bootlegging it either. I'll wait to see it in a legal way that doesn't give Fox my money, like purchasing the blu-ray second-hand.

Why bother purchasing the blu ray (second hand)?

I don't imagine him getting much work after this.

I bought a whole ton of FF comics within the past year. Both omnis for Byrne's FF (which I loved) and all of Simonson's run (which was good but not great). Since I don't see the Claremont run being reprinted in the near future, so I'll probably skip ahead to Waid within the next year. Point being, I WAS buying FF comics.

I mean current comics. That's what keeps the series going.

Meanwhile, we'll always have Byrne, Lee/Kirby, etc.

It's a good way to legally acquire the film without giving money to Fox, and I like Marvel enough to see even the crap adaptations eventually. Hell, I watched Dracula Sovereign of the Damned (obscure Tomb of Dracula adaptation).

I see, yeah I have a collection of every single Super hero movie that has been released. It's a fun collection.

Behind the scenes troubles and getting fired from Star Wars? He is going to have huge trouble getting anything but a tiny indie film made.
Even that will be trouble to accomplish.
Man needs to adjust his attitude.

Was it confirmed he was actually fired from Star Wars? Only thing I heard from the news was him claiming to have left on his own accord. Of course, with it being Star Wars and the rumors of the behind the scenes troubles, it seemed more like a "Uh huh, sure you did." king of thing.

I don't either. Not after how much he comes across as outright mean-spirited towards the people who pay his bills. I can only imagine how much of a nightmare it is to work for him. The reshoots aren't the issue, plenty of films are fixed in post-production, the problem is his pathological lying to cover up for his mistakes even after the studio has admitted to problems and his general attitude.

The rumors that Bryan Singer will be helming the sequel are great news since Singer knows what makes characters tick, he's good with ensemble films and he's good with villains.

Regarding Doom's face and mouth, his suit is definitely melted onto his body. In one of the early trailers we see a person badly burned and clearly in agony crawling on the ground in the N-Zone. The person's suit is burnt and melted and hos himelt is badly damaged and melted too. So I guess Doom's suit fuses/melts to his body. There is a close up of a body, arm and hand on a table in this new trailer and the "skin" is the suit that they wore when they first go to the N-zone but the suit is brown and charred and the green energy can be seen through the cracks.

Now why the green energy does that to him and the other four are pretty much altered without being harmed is anyone's guess. I guess the energy doesnt lik *****ebag hackers.

I'm pretty sure that the crawling person in the earlier trailer is Reed, it seems to be him crawling through the wreckage of the lab after the explosion when they return.

Why do you think the Fantastic Four movies are so obsessed with the idea of Doom getting powers from the same accent that the Four get their powers. Is that just something that has to happen?

The problem with it is that it also results in the rather cliched plot (even AoU used it) where the main characters apparently become heroes simply for cleaning up the mess they created, just like in the Story FFs.

Usually I call ******** on people complaining about CGI (I did it yesterday) because I think that they are just nit picking because they don't like how a film looks but I must agree that some of the CGI looks shockingly low grade. The Human Torch is one such effect that isn't working for me for the most part. I despise CGI discussion so if I'm pointing it out you know something went wrong. Reminds me of Green Lantern a little bit.

Its funny, I asked a friend who hadn't been following the production what he thought of the trailer and he said it reminded him of Green Lantern.

They used OTOY for this film. Rather than go to let a say ILM, Weta of Digital domain they went and used untested VFX software because it was cheaper. Some of the shots of the Thing look off especially when he lands in the forest. Bleh.:down

Weta did work for it too, but from the 4Chan leak it appears that the big problem OTOY had was that Trank kept changing his mind, forcing them to change things, even not talking to them for weeks then suddenly telling them that he wanted things completely changed, forcing them to scrap work they had done. He is even supposed to have had them vary the size of the Thing based purely on what he thought looked best rather than allow them to keep him a consistent size throughout the film.

It will likely never be confirmed, due to the nature of it, but The Hollywood Reporter did an excellent piece on it, and they're a major trade.

Do you own 3 Dev Adam?

LOL god no, i just googled what that was and no i do not have that :whatever:
maybe i don't have every movie after all

had to go back and watch some clips of that on youtube, what the hell why is spiderman choking a woman?? This was way before my time!

Exactly, the Star Wars firing will never be confirmed but that doesn't mean that it didn't happen. The idea that somebody as arrogant as Trank quit Star Wars because fanboys were being mean is ridiculous.

And I don't mean to demonize Trank, but he is arrogant and terribly thin skinned. I'm not going to pretend that he isn't.

Ugh. I can see why Fox wanted so many reshoots. Isn't changing size from panel to panel part of the reason why Rob Liefeld's art isn't held in high regard?

According to Trank's twitter feed, Leifeld is super looking forward to this movie.

So that must be why.

A perfect adaptation of Spectacular Spider-Man 226!

I would have put his poor page compositions, weird body proportions and him always trying to hide character's feet ahead of that :woot:

Liefeld has done consultation stuff for Fox, and he's in Deadpool. Weird how so many of this film's cheerleaders have financially benefited from the studio releasing it...

He's also worked for Marvel and DC and has really praised the Daredevil Netflix series.

Reed and Ben being in their mid 30's. Reed is a genius who loses himself in his experiments.

Ben is an ex fighter pilot and football star who is a big bruiser of a guy.

Sue and Johnny are biological brother and sister. She is in her mid 20's and is the heart that holds everyone together as a family.

Johnny is a hot headed cocksure full of himself showoff teenager.

Doom is an egotistical megliomaniac dictator of the European country Latveria. He hates Reed because he blames him for an accident that happened to him in their college days. After that accident he went home to his mother country and brooded and created lots of destructive things because he would like to become dictator of the world. He in no way what so ever accompanies the 4 when they get their powers.

The 4 go into space and are transformed by cosmic rays.

Reed is completely torn up by the fact that his experiment has changed everyone....especially for Ben's change, because Ben now considers himself a monster that will be shunned by humanity. Reed swears he will do everything in is power to change him back.

Ben will initially wear clothes(especially hats and overcoats) to hide his body from people, but will eventually go out in just the shorts because the coats and stuff just get in the way.

Doom is jealous that the man he hates is getting notoriety...so tries to destroy him. Being a genius himself with a whole country at his beck and call and years of building crazy weapons makes it rough on the 4.

Reed's experiments with Space and inter dimentional travel takes us to places with fantastic visuals and dangers.
Sounds easy enough... Maybe it will happen in the next reboot.

That's true, but more recently he's begun to criticize more non-Fox work while hyping up pretty much anything Fox does.

There was sooooo much bad dialogue in this trailer.

***"What if we say no?"

"Say Yes."

:whatever:

***"We're a family."

:whatever::whatever:

***"What is coming?"

"Doom".

:whatever::whatever::whatever:

***"He's stronger than any of us. But he's not stronger than all of us."

:whatever::whatever::whatever::whatever:

What kind of paint-by-number cliché s*** is this? Every generic line used in every CBM to date was in this trailer. And I still don't know what the plot is, except Glitter-Face is coming.

That dialogue seems more "simple" than outright "bad". It's the kind of mild expository dialogue found in almost any film, good or bad.

I doubt the whole movie consists of those lines. They're spotlighting the fact that the Four are a family unit. They've been saying that from Day One.
