Wow. Getting some major Jessica Alba vibes from that middle photo.

This is egregious, quite frankly. How, HOW does this get put through? How is it that no one catches this? Did they even bother to look at the principal photography footage for the sake of continuity? Hell, they could have even just Google'd "Kate Mara Fantastic Four" if they were that lazy :funny:.
IKR

It actually looks like they hung up a picture of Alba instead of Mara's earlier shots. Even her makeup looks different.

No.

We don't have to "shut up and let the film be what it is." And neither Josh Trank--or anyone else--gets to demand "new internet rules" of etiquette when the product is poorly received. He made choices with developing this film. And we're making choices in terms of how we react to his film.

Didn't ask you to.

I made a very specific point in context. If you choose to ignore the context it was made in...dunno what to tell you.

Let me be very clear here: it has been the support of the fans that made this entire franchise successful enough from the 1960s to 2015 to even warrant film adaptations in the first damn place, Guard. It wasn't the general audience that carried FF over the decades. It wasn't FOX. And it certainly wasn't Trank's ass. It was us. You seem to be forgetting that.

I don't see where any comments I have made say anything about fan support or any of that.

I'm well aware of the fans role in all this. I haven't forgotten it. It simply wasn't the topic or the the context of the discussion I was involved in.

Longtime comic-readers like C. Lee and myself were here from jump street. Some of us have invested hundreds--if not thousands of dollars--over decades of time to keep the FF comics in print. If you f*** our stuff up don't expect smiles, sunshine, rainbows and cakes. We're going to give you s***. It's the basic laws of cause and effect. If Josh Trank doesn't like it he log the f*** off. Or, better yet, make a damn decent Fantastic Four film.

Umm...kay. I could care less how you react to Josh Trank.

The best thing about the FF and X-Men forums is that they definitely reveal biases. I mean, how can you even make some of the argument in this and the prequel thread? They make no sense at all. :funny:

We're arguing about whether he is a blogger or just guy who posts on blogs. Who cares? Either one of them misses the mark completely.

Doctor Doom engaging people on the Internet. I can't even believe it :funny:.

I was totally iffy on SS, but after that trailer I am completely on board. :woot:

I wouldn't say I'm completely onboard, but I'm loving nearly everything I've seen. Just three issues so far, one of which may end up being just fine in the end.

Oh for God's sake Guard, let me help you.

See? They're all fake. None of the "hair" in these photos actually grows naturally from the scalps they're sitting on. It all comes off...in fact, you can snatch them off easily. They're called wigs. :whatever:

The only real difference I see is that she has roots showing in the one, and doesn't in the others.

The "growth of the hair" doesn't really look any more or less natural to me. She has it styled a bit more in the "fake wig" visuals. If you lightened her roots, I'd wager you'd get a similar effect.

In universe explanation? Maybe she dyed her hair. Maybe time has passed and she changed things up. Maybe her powers made her roots invisible, made her blonder, whatever.

Who cares? Just seems like nitpicking.

And like I said, most cinema wigs are made of real hair, so saying it looks like fake hair...meh.

It doesn't look natural because there are ZERO lowlights in the wig. It's all the same shade of blonde, root to end. When you look at Kate's natural hair, there are natural ranges of color. They could've gotten a wig that mimicked that.

Rather, they did this. And the end result looks as if the hair is just floating around her head like a cloud.

Just another example of how basic this production is when it comes to the details.

If she was always wearing a bad wig I could get over it eventually but nope that isn't what we are dealing with.

No, this is just complete incompetence or the result of rushing. A bad wig could still get the colour right.

Didn't ask you to.

I didn't say you asked me to ask you to say that I did (you see how annoying that gets? ).

Well, I added a new context to your discussion. And if you say "I didn't ask you to", I've got a comeback waiting for that ass.

Umm...kay. I could care less how you react to Josh Trank.

Oh you care. You care very much. That's why you're sitting up there replying to everyone's post sentence by sentence.

But Guard...despite your struggles with Wig-Gate...I still love you. Now say that you care less about my love or that you didn't ask me to love you. I know you want to. :whatever:

You really think a multi-billion dollar corporation like Fox couldn't afford a better wig? It is noticeable and distracting.
I get that you think it's nitpicking, but considering the numerous, undeniable problems facing this production, it's just the cherry on top of what most here consider a turd sandwich.

My girlfriend wants to see this, so I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes :funny:.

The Guard knows these things. Trust me--I've been debating him for 11 years on this board. He just likes making us type until we bash our heads open on the keyboards. :csad:

Do not let him win! Remember. The Guard is stronger than each of us. But he's not stronger than all of us. Now say yes. :oldrazz:

My girlfriend was interested in the cast. I could see her wanting to see it if she hears it's good.

Honestly after tonight's thread I think I want to go see it too. I want to see internet troll doom. I want to see Sue Storm have a makeover for a trip to the N-zone. I want to see how much of this was reshot. I want the horrifically misplaced body horror, the terrible costumes, and Thing with no pants. It's going to be GLORIOUS.

If there's a time skip and we see Sue in this wig and she has it consistently for the rest of the movie, I can accept that she changed her look. It will be still be the result of a wig of questionable quality (and honestly I suspect they changed her makeup too), but I can accept it as one of this film's lesser problems. But if there are inconsistent shots where we go back and forth on her hair, that's just really sloppy. Alternatively, if she has this wig for the whole final act, then we'll know Kinberg was lying when he said it was just 3 days of reshoots. Either way: the obviousness of this wig is bad news for Fox.
