WORLD PREMIERE--WORLD PREMIERE-----when and where?
This will settle it when the tweets and early reviews hit after the premier. What city and when?
And yes you can see that shot is wonky without slowing it down. It's when you do you realize--"That turret just vapoized, 11 tons of advanded steel and ceramic plating just vaporized when they hit some dudes!!"

I actually think this is going to be a slow-paced film with only 3 action scenes:

The scene of Ben fight the military installation, the scene of Doom escaping and the final battle scene.

Other than those scenes, I think the bulk of the film will be comprised of slower, more dramatic elements.

I don't really know if that's good or bad because they're not showing us those slower moments that are likely to fill in between the very small number of scenes we've seen in trailers.

But I also don't think it's going to be the science fiction film hinted at in the first trailer.

I think there's going to be a lot of screen time of people sitting around in military bunkers, worrying about their plight and arguing with military people. I think that's going to be 80% of the film.

There also seem to be some sort of fight between the four, there is Johnny throwing a fireball at Sue, and in the newest trailer there seems to be a daylight forest fight between between Reed and Ben (I noticed it as it looks very green screened and the lighting flat). I guess someone remembered that you have to have the obligatory team members fight each other before really coming together as a team cliche.

Film is a visual medium. Considering how easy it is to update the costumes while still having them look recognizable and visually appealing, this was a mistake on Fox's part.

They kill me with with these weak excuses... Do they think they're speaking to children? Naw, they could just make them go see it. They think we're stupid. Or just hope we are.

Point being that you really shouldn't have to explain this kind of stuff. You're basically explaining why they should make Comic books into movies to begin with.

It's my super peepers.

I think that teaser was wildly overrated. Yes it was pretty good but that was mostly because of the awesome BroadChurch music.

Okay, but I was talking about the effect the teaser had on me. It's genuinely one of the best teasers I've ever watched. And yeah, the music was awesome. Btw, I wasn't aware of the source of that music, can you tell me exactly where it's from? Is it the official theme of BroadChurch? (I wasn't familiar with the series before you mentioned it.)

Yeah, I think the trailers are making the movie out to be more action-packed and lighter in tone than it's actually going to be, but what they're advertising right now isn't impressive. If the movie is full of sci-fi and "angst", then that's how they should've marketed this film. At least then it would've found a niche audience to go watch it, instead it comes off as generic and uninteresting.

That's weird. That strikes me as merchandise rather than a promotional item, and no merchandise is being made from what we've seen. This may be an illegal bootleg.

Damn that was fast. Not there anymore. Wow.

it's still #1... trending on the top of my list on the right (on facebook)

all still full of people with equal opinions to ours...

this isn't a "there's no such thing as bad publicity" situation

Not sure if bootleg.....I made a comment a couple of weeks ago that no one commented on, so at the time I just passed my idea off as wrong....but I bring it up again now.

Almost all product placement, new posters, etc. we have ben seeing....are coming from countries outside the USA. It's almost like they have given up on the US and are concentrating on the foreign market.

Update on that phone case: looks like it is a promo item. There is a contest tied in with the film. Any loophole to get something on shelves, I guess...

You can go on Ebay, RedBubble, Society6, Amazon or Etsy and find all types of non official merchandise for anything. I found a Darth Revan phone case from a Star Wars 12 year old video game for a Galaxy S5 last year's model.

That FF is definitely a 3rd person distributor. I mean who puts "In theaters now"?

It says ONLY IN THEATERS because it's a promotional item, from the look of it. They're doing a sweepstakes where you can win a trip.

I was mistaken, I missed the Zagg on it, which is a known manufacturer that does cases. Would have expected a better quality.

I don't know how well that will work unless there is a lot more action in this film than expected.

Not too surprising as it may be the only way to make back their budget. The studios have internal tracking and they know exactly where they sit along with historical data to let them know if they were in trouble.

It boggles the mind that Fox's idea of resuscitating this franchise was to simply recreate Tim Story's template with some darker colors and teenage angst.

I can't say I'm surprised, the ASM2 MJ's home life was taken straight from the Raimi films. Studios hold their films in higher regard than the source material.

Were your super peepers trained by watching a certain Superman? :o

I was so disgusted to even notice the first time but they couldn't even be bothered to alter the voice of the Thing? :whatever:

can't believe that they managed to make a movie worst than the first 2
they make that Doom look Great in comparison

Since the release of this trailer, this film is dropping like a stone on Hollywood Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, it is trending on Facebook but for all the wrong reasons - it's getting shredded by everybody. Looks like a flop incoming.

It looks like it's box ofice impact will mimic that tank turret---it will hit and then, poof--"Where'd it go?"

FF wasn't doing well before the trailer, but it's pretty bad when, on the day your final trailer is released, there are as many negative as positive Tweets.

They need to just get this film in and out of theaters and put it out of its misery.

Its possible, most of the early promotion was in South and Central America (Brazil even had TV spots back in February) but if that is their plan it seems strange that Fox would be happy about the state of the International trailer. To me it seemed to be sloppier work, the N-Zone switching between red and green versions alone made it look bad.

If they were wanting to focus on the international market you would think that they would want to present the film better to their target market than they have done.

yeah and most are from south america... they're definitely banking on the international release over domestic
