Think this is a new spot, tough to tell cause it's usually the same footage. Has more energy to it thanks to The Prodigy song. "Day is my enemy" is an awesome track.

Interesting that the new spot only has the Marvel logo. lol

It is actually quite manipulative marketing to suggest this is tied to the larger Marvel universe because the general public wouldn't know that its not.

Wait a minute, I thought Fox was obligated to show Marvel logos under the contract because Fantastic Four and X Men are still under the ownership of Marvel. Can anyone clarify?

Come to think of it, will Stan Lee cameo in this one like the last two?

Also funny how they still attach "From the studio that brought you X-Men: Days of Future Past", even though they're trying to ride the coattails of the MCU. I guess they're having their cake and eating it too.

For everyone involved this must be like Aug 7 is the date for execution. Your waitiing for the warden to walk in with that grim look on his face and say "It's time", but you you hold out hope for the warden to say, "the governor granted a stay". Part of you just wishes it was over already, but you hold out that little sliver of hope.
And like in that scenario, you have partisans on one side saying, "He has to pay for what he's done." and on the other side saying, "He's a good boy, he didn't do it--he deserves a chance!."

They are obligated, but they usually have the Fox logo come first before the Marvel logo in their trailers/promos.

Marvel's a producer technically, so the logo has to be there in all likelihood. As for Stan, he'd actually stopped doing Fox movies, but he's definitely in next year's (including Deadpool, whom he had nothing to do with). He's probably in FF. My guess is that it's part of the current arrangement between Marvel and Fox. Per the Sony hack (amazing how much you can learn from that), Marvel and Fox aren't really working together anymore (previously Marvel had a very small amount of involvement). Rather than appointing a Marvel executive to serve as the Marvel Studios EP (as previous films have done) they're simply using Stan Lee. It wouldn't surprise me if part of that arrangement includes Fox having better access to Lee.

The logo has to be attached to the film, not necessarily the spots. Should have clarified better.

But yeah, they're grabbing those coattails with everything they have.

I've decided to torrent this film. My original plan to buy and AntMan ticket and sneak into FF requires too much effort. I'll just watch it at home or just wait for DVD.

^ there's a few missing. Sheridan, Shipp, Hardy, Smit-Mcphee, Turner, Byrne, Kebbell.

It isn't at all for two reasons:

1. They aren't using the Marvel Studios logo

2. They've been using the Marvel logo for 15 years. Long before there was a Marvel movie universe so it's standard practice

He's going to be in X-Men: Apocalypse, I think it's rumoured that he's in this and Deadpool too.

Yet Fantastic Four is the first time it's been used so heavily...

It's a little disconcerting that I don't see Cyclops.

Really hope he's not marginalized.

Again.

... or storm, havok, angel, jubilee, nightcrawler, jean grey...

there's many missing.. because this is the comic con panel.. and many left comic con by then or never went.

As long as Stan can say "Excelsior True Believers" and stand on his soap box, the king of cameos will stay true to this title.

Yes, he will make the cameo.

He hasn't done a cameo for a Fox film in 8 years...

Technically Stan's the acting Executive Producer for Marvel on these films now, though. He was always an EP in name only, really (and essentially still is), but according to an e-mail from the Sony hack Marvel had basically cut ties with Fox and Fox is using Stan as the contractually mandated Marvel producer. It comes from an e-mail about Deadpool, oddly enough. Apparently someone at Sony had heard a rumor that Deadpool would be a co-production and was informed that, in fact, it's all Fox (with Stan acting as an in-name-only producer).

To capture fan excitement nationwide, Tastykake and Fantastic Four created four limited edition packages, each featuring one character: Human Torch Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, The Thing Creme Filled Krimpets, Invisible Woman Swirly Cupcakes and Mr. Fantastic Chocolate Bells. Fans can collect all four limited edition items everywhere Tastykake is sold.

ive not heard of stan showing up in this film.. but he did confirm deadpool, and possibly X-men apoc?

If Stan is in this movie it sorta makes his comments about not changing the race of established characters more awkward, though...

I watched X-Men: Days of Future Past the Rogue Cut today with the commentary. Singer pointed out a scene where they had planned to have Stan do a cameo, but he was sick when they filmed it. He said he hoped to get him for Apocolypse.

Can anyone outside of the Philadelphia area buy Tastykakes? I'm in the Philly area, so I can get them, but I thought they were a regional thing.

We see Tastykake sometimes in discount supermarkets....we see Hostess and Little Debbie more commonly here in Ohio
