Hypothetically, if you were Fox and you were in active negotiations with Marvel, would you leak to your reporter contacts:
a. "Good lord that was a disaster. We just want to dump this property and move on."
OR
b. "We are still very focused and determined to make a sequel."
Fox is dumb, but even I don't believe they're seriously dumb enough to be planning a sequel after this absolute mess.
I wonder though how it screened so horribly as any kind of movie when Chronicle was well received, and Trank was essentially just remaking his first film but calling it FFINO.

I kinda want them to make a sequel, I need a good laugh.
I've learned to never under-estimate the bad decisions due to stubbornness. Fox is deciding if they should just keep MS from making a successful FF as opposed to again risking making a failed one. Well see how they do. Fox IMO seems to just like to hold on to things sometimes
Nah, I changed my mind.Did you manage to watch this one?![]()
Wtf? Why?Everything I've heard would indicate that the studio will move forward with a "Fantastic Four" sequel. It may not make that original 2017 date, but they're definitely planning to make it. The next filmmaker in is going to start from a difficult position, and they're going to have to work hard to create their own movie while starting with some of Trank's choices intact.
Wtf? Why?
What does he mean by "everything I've heard"? Does he just mean what Fox has said publicly? If so, there's no reason to believe they're following through.
I knew they would try again with another director. Ya'll can shake your head, but this is Fox. lol
