Fant4stic: Reborn! - - - - - - - Part 41

Holy cow, I didn't know this but I looked it up and your right:

So once the cameras turned off, they said "peace", and just left. That's... fantastic.

Shia Labeouf is currently doing a 3 day marathon of all his movies with a live stream of his face. That should happen with the main cast of Fan4stic. Force them to watch the movie over and over again for 3 days as everyone gets to watch them.

I'm watching it right now. He's struggling to stay awake.

just checked it out as well... wonder what movie is playing?

this feels like something one does before they off themselves...

I wonder what drugs he's taken for this. Adderall, I'm sure.

I'm more interested in what drugs made him think this would be a good idea. That's got to be some good stuff.:woot:

We all know sitting through even one of his movies is hell. Does he really want to emphasize to the world just what a miserable experience it is?

So, uh, I finally sat down and watched this.

During the first hour, there was something resembling a good sci-fi flick in there. Not even remotely close to what a Fantastic Four movie should be, mind you, but a decent sci-fi movie in its own right. But then, dear Zod. The character arcs go nowhere, the pace is all ****ed up, bland performances, shoddy effects and Doom is just... awful. None of the characters resemble their comic counterparts in any way, but Ben Grimm has to be the worst comic-to-screen adaptation since, I don't know, Catwoman.

Just... bad.

Sorry you had to see that... But you were warned.. The fault of viewing such a bad film is your own..

It was Sunday morning,I had literally nothing to do and it was only 100 minutes long. At least I can speak about it with full knowledge of what I saw. I hate unfounded critiquing.

to be fair... there's absolutely nothing unfounded about any critiquing with this film... it was so clearly deplorable that one really did not have to see much more than the previews and clips released to critique it.

It was playing on some TVs while Ben was sitting quietly in a room.

Wasn't it shown full size in a trailer to make people think there was cool action....but people tore it apart because of the magic disappearing tank turret....and then when people saw the movie, that's when they found out it was only shown in the background on a TV?

Ahhhoo ok, I understand. I haven't seen this movie.

And remember.....at least half of the things shown in trailers.....either do not appear at all in the movie or they are on monitors in the background where they can barely be seen.

If I see the guy at Taco Bell wipe his butt with my tortilla while I'm waiting at the counter, I'm not going to hold any complaints until I've paid for it and eaten it so I can describe the specific taste of eating his sh**.

It's a fresh take on the soft taco that's more dark and gritty. :lmao:

Thanks for the visual... but accurate description of the fantfourstic scenario

I know. I've been watching the process of this film and I have no intentions to give away two hours of my life to this mess.

Afaik the following featured in the trailers/tv spots and didn't make the cut at all or were reduced to background TV screens:

Completely cut:

1) The Thing dropped from a plane.
2) The plane itself (looked like a Stealth bomber).
3) (presumably) The Thing landing in that scene on a Jeep.
4) The Thing emerging from rubble, striding along while being shot at.
5) Torch's 'big ass sunroof' quip.
6) Reed talking with a prone Doom in the lab.
7) Human Ben playing baseball and smashing the neon 'Grimm' sign.
8) Sue looking all sad over a prone Johnny.
9) Ben sizing up a hay-maker for a prone Doom.
10) Extended shot of Johnny in flight (presumably from the drone sequence).
11) Sue & Johnny teaming up on smashing one of those column things.
12) Johnny kneeling flamed on and lighting up the corridor.

Reduced to background tv screens:

1) Infamous flash paper tank turret and other shots of the Thing smashing some stuff and people about (accompanied by his 'confirmed kill count'...:whatever:).
2) Johnny tossing some fireballs at targets.
3) Sue playing with some cargo boxes.

And one thing clearly altered: 'Planet Zero' went from red lava to ugly green ooze in post.

There was probably some more stuff but that's the ones I know of.

One big thing altered: a movie which, a year ago, would have had rave reviews to a movie that now has been savaged by everyone. :o
