It's just a hilariously cheesy franchise with a real beating heart underneath.

I suspect it will become more or less its own entity, with spinoffs, tv shows, more video games, hell even a cartoon series. That last one I am shocked has never happened.
There have been many die-cast car toys from several of the movies so you never know, I think maybe a comic company like IDW might actually think about doing a comic series.

Great film we loved every moment from beginning to end. Gets a solid 8/10 from us.

Paul walker always be remembered R.I.P. Brother. I loved what they in the end.

1. I'm a Tony Jaa fan. What is his role in this? Fairly small?

2. Should I stay after the credits?

Even though I didn't think this film was as good as the last two in the series, as a Paul Walker tribute it was beautiful and touching, and I'm so glad this thing is kicking on all cylinders at the Box office. We have our first billion dollar film of 2015. Congrats!

1. Small. Only shows up in two scenes.

2. No, nothing there for obvious reasons.
I think he was in 3 scenes. His 2nd was very small though as he was just flipping around in the background of the warehouse of where Statham was hiding when the place was raided. I could be mistaken but I do think that was Jaa. Either way, his role was small. In fact, it was too small!

Get it!?! :rimshot:

I think you're right. I'm seeing it again this Friday (3rd time) so I'll look out for his scenes.

So this is kind of morbid, but which scenes do people think were definitely CGI Paul? Besides the last goodbye scene which is obvious.

I thought the fight with Tony Jaa in the warehouse wasn't the real Walker, since it was so dark and the camera work so chaotic. You never get a good look at Paul's face during that fight. I also heard others they think most of his scenes in Dubai were after his death as well. Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I'm approaching this from a 'how advanced is CGI these days' perspective, not from a morbid one.

I honestly thought it was just the last scene on the beach and in the car. Everything else looked real to me.

The beach and scene in the car were the only two times it looked like it wasnt actually Paul. I know for a fact that his brother shot the beach scene.

Well… it has to be more than that, since he died after only completing 50% of filming (unless that report is wrong). I've heard there's some giveaways in Dubai but maybe I'm obsessing about this too much. It just makes me think about the future of actors in films and how one day studios might manipulate their image in the event of death or contract-disputes, and we might not even be aware.

i am kinda curious as to which scenes were his brothers but at the same time i really don't want to know cuz i don't want to think of that every time i watch the movie like 'oh that's not him" "is that him?"

i know it sounds odd. i want to know, but i don't want to know

I just finished the final episode of Daredevil and the final confrontation of DD and Kingpin is exactly what Statham vs The Rock should be like.

Universal Pictures today announced that with Friday’s theatrical grosses, Furious 7 will cross $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Continuing to break records at every turn, Furious 7 marks Universal’s first film to achieve $1 billion during its initial release, with 1993’s Jurassic Park having reached $1.044 billion after the 3D re-release in 2013. With total global grosses estimated at $1.009 billion through today, Furious 7 has earned an estimated $735.2 million overseas in 17 days and an estimated $273.7 million in North America after 15 days.

Furious 7’s 17 day climb to $1 billion marks a new record for the fastest film to reach that milestone (The Avengers, Avatar and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 crossed $1 billion in 19 days). The only original live-action film franchise to achieve this magnitude of box office success, Furious 7 has propelled the “Fast & Furious” series past $3 billion worldwide ($3.392 billion). The announcement was made by President, Domestic Distribution, Nick Carpou and President, International Distribution, Duncan Clark.

“We’re incredibly proud to watch Fast & Furious take its place as the only original live-action franchise to reach these kinds of results at the box office,” said Carpou. “Our cast, filmmakers and all of our Universal and Fast family deserve credit for working so hard to make Furious 7 a huge success and we look forward to continuing to watch the film grow over the next few weeks.”

“What started as a small film about the street racing sub-culture of East Los Angeles has become a global phenomenon with Furious 7 shattering records in so many territories around the globe,” said Clark. “We’re thrilled to celebrate this accomplishment with our colleagues and distribution partners throughout the world, who have made these extraordinary results possible.”

Furious 7 has been the No. 1 film at the worldwide box office for two consecutive weeks and opened No. 1 in all 67 markets where it was released including North America.

Other Furious 7 records include:
· Second-biggest worldwide opening of all time ($397.2 million) behind only Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
· Highest-grossing domestic ($147.2 million) and international ($250 million) openings in Universal history.
· Biggest April and Easter opening.
· Highest opening since November of 2013 domestically.
· All-time highest opening weekend of any film in 29 territories.
· Universal’s highest-grossing film of all-time in 26 territories.
· Record-breaking opening day in China ($63.5 million) beating the previous record held by Transformers 4 ($36 million).

It's deserved but let's not pretend that Walker's death didn't play a factor. Part of me wants it to end now before the franchise wears out its welcome.

Wait, what?????? 17 days?? Holy cow.

I don't think it played that big a factor, not enough to reach a billion in 17 days.

Who the hell saw this coming? I'm willing to be there is not a single person on the planet who would have predicted this.

this is the first f&f movie i've ever seen. i helped contribute to the 1 billion mark.
