They do tend to film scenes out of order all the time, so that's not all necessarily true. There was a major scene of him making the call to Mia and gearing up for the final battle that was him because one of the first shots tweeted of the film being shot was of Vin and Paul together from the last section of the movie.

Obviously he hadn't finished his work in the last action piece because his fight with Tony Jaa was covered in darkness and shot to avoid his face, and his screaming "Too slow" to him was CG Paul.
Can AOU get to a billion In 16 days? I don't know, I think it depends on if it can keep up with Furious 7 in China. And it depends on when AOU is released in China. I'll have to investigate.
Not trying to belittle how great the Furious movies are but I think Episode VII will be huge and I can't see it making that much less than Furious 7.
