The last part. All I can say is I'm glad they got rid of MJ, she was clearly holding down the stories. I mean this is nothing compared to Freak and another goblin wannabe....

That Sensational Spider-man Annual issue is one of my favorite Spider-man issues of all time. Anyone who hasn't read it, seriously needs to pick it up. It's easily one of best Spider-man issues in recent history and...*GASP* it features a married Spider-man...Go figure.

I think this issue gives Matt Fraction the right to write Amazing Spider-Man with a married Peter Parker. The guy is amazing.

Agreed, easily my favorite Peter & MJ moment in a loooong time...Just glad I have the comic, since it seems like a lot of people missed it when it came out.

I also really enjoyed some of the scenes from Spider-Man:Reign with Peter interacting with MJ's ghost...Some of it was quite touching...

That's still the best single issue for Ultimate Spider-man and one of the best comics EVER period.

Indeed. It'll be nice to see Bendis go back to teenage issues after the ''heaviness'' of the latest arcs.

I think its interesting that the subject of sex will be directly discussed in a Spider-Man comic. Sure, its been alluded to in past issues in the 616 universe, but I dont think its really been a subject. Ironic that it would happen in the "kid" Spider-Man book. Maybe thats for the best, though. Sex between married adults is one thing. How do you write about it? Whats the point? Sex between unmarried teens is something else. Its an "issue."

Yeah. It really shows the progression, doesn't it? I'm surprised it got past Quesada's attitude on Spider-Man and Peter 'growing up'. Though I guess it's HARDLY a marriage...

It's never been tackled before and I hope Bendis treats it as light-heartedly as possible without turning it in to a full-blown joke issue. Parker and MJ HAVE been thru a lot and, well, its no surprise that its a common thing now days for kids to have sex. The stigma has all but gone- or at least we all know it goes on.

But this is comic book land after all....

Aren't they underage in this, too? Or are they both 16?

They were 15, I thought. Then again I guess its been a year since Peter got bitten by the spider. They are below the age of consent here in Illinois anyway (17). Maybe its different in New York. Its not like I pay attention to the legal age limit for sex. Thats just creepy.

Place your bets: What will happen?

Will they have sex?
Decide not to?
Wait until they are older?

I'm taking door #3. (That sounds pretty bad.)

Naw, really...I hope they have sex. It'll be an anti-climax [so to say!] if they took the risks actually taking this issue to print and not going through with it.

I hope they do have sex...but it wouldnt detract anything from the character if they dont.
