He talks a good game. But if he wants to be president, he can't throw a fit over mean people he doesn't like. It's part of his job to work with them and get things done.

Thing is...he doesn't talk a good game. If you are on his political spectrum he may have good talking points, but he can't develop those ideas past those talking points. Nothing he says has any real substance to them, he's just a demagogue tapping into the anger and frustration of the youth in America.

Exactly. Obama had his weaknesses too like being too professorial but he never sank to a level of tit for tat on every insult that came his way.

Lol, the Verizon CEO utterly dismantles Bernie's claims and he's all..."You're rich so I don't care what you to have to say!"

Way to stick it to the maaaaaan, man.

Funny how the only candidate to get approval from the Pope is an old Jewish guy on the Democrats side.

FWIW, Neil DeGrasse Tyson also pointed out that Jesus would likely vote for Bernie.

Bernie campaign getting a lot of flack for one of his surrogates named Dr. Paul Song using the phrase "corporate Democratic ****es" in a speech at a campaign event. They've both since offered apologies. Gotta say, that was a pretty dumb and tone deaf phrase to use if you're running against the first serious female presidential candidate. Much better ways to get the points across. Also doesn't bode well if Bernie's campaign is still trying to court superdelegates...those are pretty much the exact same people that got called "****es" at an official campaign event.

I didn't know we could say ****es here on the Hype. I will have to use this power responsibly.

We wouldn't be able to recite passages from Rorschach's dialogue on this superhero message board without this power. Bless.

The other funny part is older women and minorities, who typically earn less money would benefit most from Sanders policies....yet as a group, they mostly support Hillary Clinton.

Short term benefit? Yes. Long term benefit? No. History has shown that enlarging the welfare state along socialist principles perpetuates poverty, especially among the identifiable communities that such policies often try to help.

Even funnier, people thinking a billionaire is going to help out the poor people. Now that's funny!

Despite how the Bernie campaign is trying to make it out to be, the Pope hasn't approved of Bernie Sanders. The Pope isn't going to get involved in elections.

FWIW, Neil DeGrasse Tyson also pointed out that Jesus would likely vote for Bernie.
Considering that Jesus has been dead for two thousand years, also irrelevant. And as much as I love Tyson, he isn't exactly a religious authority.

In a much more racist, hateful, intolerant, xenophobic way

Whether you spout hate or pandering lies, they are all just desperate snake oil salesmen trying to garner votes.

Well if we take into account everything the Pope has talked about since he got the position and what Jesus himself tried to teach and speak about Bernie is the only candidate that falls in-line with either of those things so......

Francis without a doubt would support Bernie if he were a private citizen. But he isn't and he knows that getting involved with any nation's elections is very inappropriate for the Catholic Church. He isn't going to approve or endorse him the way the Bernouts have been trying to make it out to be.

Jesus lived in a time before concepts such as capitalism and socialism and liberal democracy were even thought of. If Jesus were in the modern day, maybe he would be the socialist that lefties like to claim. But you can't apply modern day concepts to ancient religious figures who are unable to even comprehend modern ideals, you know on account of being dead and all. Trying to apply the socialist label on Jesus is as absurd as Republicans trying to portray Jesus as this pro-capitalist, bigoted evangelical.

And I think that it's also important to point out that Neil Degrasse Tyson is not an authority on Christianity. I love the guy religiously, but acting as if his views that Jesus would most likely be a Bernie supporter as a big deal would be like if I, possibly the whitest guy in the history of white people, became an authority on black people.

Safe to say Trump's methods have done a lot more harm to the country.

HH so that whole thing Jesus taught about helping and feeding the poor and the fact that all the richest men of their time had the same chance of getting into heaven as a camel passing through the eye of a needle was all just BS then eh?

Seems to me like he was pretty clear about how we should treat the less fortunate in our society. Or I guess He could have just been into some really kinky stuff washing all those ****es feet and whatnot. :cwink:

Considering how many rappers apparently owed their careers to him, Jesus would be a certified O.G., rolling with a crew of 11 guys, 1 nasty girl and 1 weaselly scrub who ****s things up for everyone.

The sermon on the mount was the original fire mixtape Pinky.

Of course it can't be brushed aside since that was all what Jesus talked about, but those ideas don't exclusively belong to the left. He'll take a look at how Kasich is presenting his campaign in justifying his expansion of Medicaid and using Christian ideals to show compassion for others. Or Hillary trying to present herself as a progressive champion for the poor and minorities. Democratic socialists don't have a monopoly on caring for others.
