"Feel the Bern": The BERNIE SANDERS Thread - Part 2

Any chance that Bernie might run as an independent?

It's too late for him to get on state ballots as an independent. You have to register well in advance. There are ways to get on the ballot in some states after the deadline, but this late it'd be a real hassle and he'd never get on all the state's ballots. He'd have to either use his own money or rely on independents that are feeling foolishly generous. Plus, he wouldn't be able to use the resources and data the Democrat Party provides for its Democrat candidates which would hamper his ability to mount an effective campaign.

And if Bernie did run as an independent he'd virtually guarantee a Trump victory.

Yep. Although with the way he is behaving (a spoiled, entitled child), I really wouldn't be surprised if he came out and endorsed Jill Stein. I wouldn't be surprised at all. He has yet to say he will gather behind Clinton. He said he will "do everything he can to stop Trump." He will be able to justify it as fighting for Stein is against Trump. It really wouldn't surprise me at all.

Bernie's crew is throwing a hissy fit over AP accepting reality and calling Hillary the nominee.

I know Bernie has zero chance but they could've at least waited until California voted.

News networks always call races before all the votes are officially counted. And Hillary was like less than 20 delegates away from the required number and everyone knows she will get at least 20 delegates from Calofornia.

He and his people should be writing/should have written the concession speech if they were sane.

Bernie likes that limelight. He doesnt want to go back to obscurity.

Over on reddit they were talking about doing some kinda Occupy stuff.

Bernie himself seems alright, honestly. Its Weaver I don't like.

That just pisses me off more. These people dont give a damn about the choice and votes of the people. The voters, mostly democrats, chose Clinton. She has the majority in every category. But we've got these independents and a minority of democrats that want to ignore the majority and to demand that the candidate that is losing in every way get the nomination.

If they want Bernie to run Independent then fine, but why should the Democrats and their rightfully elected nominee concede to the demands of independents and the candidate that lost? That wouldnt be democracy. The Party and all of us that supported the Party would be conceding to force and fear and coercion.

:lmao: at the Bernouts and their "Secret Media Election" conspiracy. Have these fools never followed an election or seen a news network call an election early? Its not a conspiracy or evil. Networks have always called elections early. Even blogs and websites do it.

What do yall think Bernie will do if Hillary wins 571 delegates tonight and secures the nomination with pledged delegates alone?

I figure his followers will cry about some imaginary conspiracy, but do yall think Bernie would still try to contest the convention?

Personally, Id love it if she was able to get that many delegates tonight cause then Bernie and his campaign wouldn't be able to ***** about the superdelegates because they would be a non factor.

Bernie still trying to hold onto that straw, boy. 43% for Jersey.

Isn't it super unlikely that would happen?

She would need to win 71% of the 806 delegates that are available tonight. I doubt she will win that many, but her chances are still infinitely better than Bernie's. Bernie needs 862 delegates to get the required number and there are only 851 left.:hehe:

No, actually they probably haven't. For a good portion of them I would venture to say they know very little about the election process.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. There's a portion of Bernie supporters are going to vote for Trump out of spite at Hillary and I don't blame them.

Well, they thought people honking at "Honk If You Feel the Bern" signs = votes for Bernie.

Yeah, when the rules that have existed for decades don't work for your candidate, and when the majority dont support your candidate go vote for the person that thinks your preferred candidate is a "commie". Vote for the guy that has the polar opposite goals and agenda of your candidate. Cause that makes sense.:o

Look, if those people want to vote for Trump, because in their uninformed minds they think there is a evil grand conspiracy so be it. I can live with us losing because we wouldn't give into their senseless tantrums, stupidity, and spite.

Having said that, while a small portion will vote for Trump out of childish spite, I think most will vote for Hillary or Stein before they ever vote for Trump.
