FF 2 Rate and Review Thread

As one of the few people who liked the first one I was really disappointed by Part II. I thought the fist FF was exactly what it should have been a great popcorn film. Something that you can always watch on a Satruday to kill an hour and a half and eat a slice of pizza with. I thought the tone of the movie fit with the comic and it was fun.

But this one....let's just say it really felt like a "PG" film. It felt like i really should have been there with my kids to watch it and not with other adults. There were some nice special effects...except for the scene where Reed was dancing in the club....Yikes that was just horrible on every level!!... and the Surfer was great(Three Cheers for Larry Fishburne) and Jessica was still hot...except for the contacts.... but it felt very kiddie oriented and there was just nothing to it. I was actually bored.

I think the people who liked this one better than first are saying that because with the first film they had expectations and were disappointed with what they got. But with this one they went in with an open slate(which you should do with all films guys) and no to low expectations always produce a pleasurable experience.

Nah, not really. The story in The Incredibles and FF isn't interchangeable.

Not so much the stories, no. But the tonality and structure, definitely. Add a tad more sci-fi to the Incredible's tone and restructure it for the F4 and you could make a great F4 film. We're not talking abou the stories, really.

I think people went into this movie thinking it was a acutally silver surfer movie. Galactus did not need to be shown. Since they are planning on a Surfer spinoff im sure he will make an appearance here. Nothing was ever guaranteed about Glactus. People set themselves up to be disappointed.

Saw the movie a few hours ago. I enjoyed it Reed is alot more macho this time round which is exactly what I wanted. I didn't really enjoyed the end to be honest. And Reeds stretching graphics well what can I say, ahwell.
But yeah I liked the film and I hope there a third one.

I voted excellent for the sheer fact that...welll..I'll say it..

Best Movie of the Summer so far. It hit every action/comedy/drama note perfectly. An AMAZING step up from the first film.

Then end left me wanting to see a sequel if that makes sense considering they way it ended

Hey DJ, just wondering, how is the new game?

Just played through the first act and it is enjoyable, the cutscenes were a little choppy at times on PS3, game is pretty basic, run around hit 2 attack buttons, chop down the bad guys, the voices are decent, not spot on but not completely different. The cosim power buttons are cool. Doesnt seem like many unlockables and levels. 5 different costumes total. I cant wait to get to the NYC level. Graphicsw were pretty nice. I would give it a 7/10 after playing through the first level. Also, I haven't experienced bad AI problems from teammates yet.
