FF 2 Rate and Review Thread

^Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, they were just looking at each other. It may have worked better if Johnny had just been like making awkward faces attempting to say something nice while Sue just looks at him and knows he's trying to be sincere for once. The staring was just....iffy.

Next time he should remember that trusting a guy whose name is Doom might be hazardous to your health.

It was better than the first one, but there's absolutely no excuse not to show some part of Galactus. The cloud was menacing and all that but inside of it they should of shown his face, hand, feet, something to let us know that indeed this is the coming of Galactus.

They did.

You could see his eyes, nose and mouth at one point. As well as his helmet.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised with this death, I really thought it would turn out to be rather blah....but it wasn't.....its no where near the death of the novelization, but it definitely worked very well.

You can read what happened to him in the novel...its much more satisfying and it doesn't get more painful than that ..Id feel sorry for him if he wasn't such an ass

but its really cool that they made the scene a lot less brutal but just as disturbing. I remember in the X2 comic book, Magneto literally explodes the guard but in the actual movie he breaks his back and gives him a little cut. ...it wasnt creppy at all

I dunno if your average viewer can get that?

Then again they probably don't know who The Big G is.

Actually i just remember SS talking about the Big G but did he mention him being an entity beyond the cloud? I forgot....

I voted it above average...I do have some things about the film that really annoy me...but I also really enjoyed it. so, i'm kinda half and half...I thought it was a great comic film...but it bothered me that they strayed far from the comic.

Things that bothered me:

1) Doom without a mask...he should have stayed in costume the entire film.
2) The Thing and Mr. Fantastic didn't really have any fight scenes...no reason to really use their powers besides a dance scene (which was funny actually
3) Galactus is a cloud..........and no he won't be in the 3rd. It'll probably be Molemen...so yes..Galactus was just a cloud.
4) If the Silver Surfer could destroy Galactus anytime he wanted to...why did he wait until he willingly let Galactus destroy countless other worlds?

that's about it...but like I said...despite those annoyances...I actually really liked it. And yes...I really liked the first film too...I found this one to be better in a lot of ways.

3. Not going to argue anymore on Galactus is a cloud, it has been proven otherwise...no you didn't see his pink and purple loveliness....but he was more than a cloud.....very much so in fact.
4. Who says he went to destroy him....he didn't say, hey here I go to destroy Galactus.....to me he was more than anything, leading him out of that particular universe....

Two probelms here. First, Galactus is not the cloud. Second, Galactus wasn't destroyed. The Surfer's power exertion was not an explosion or implsion since bits and pieces would fly everywhere if that were the case. Galactus and the Surfer were clearly sucked into something, and since no black hole was created in that spot once they were gone, the only answer is it was a wormhole, and they were sent somewhere else in the galaxy.

Big G is not a cloud, nor is he dead. Zenn-La might be in the SS movie, however.

The part where surfer first reports to galactus was movie gold for me and also the scene at the end where they all hug each other shows the FF are a family first then a superteam second. I even think they handeled galactus well, of course i would rather see a giant CGI monster but the cloud worked i loved that you could almost see his face in the centre. A FF third movie MUST be made!

One last thing, what happens at the very end? after the fantasticar flew off i walked out of the theater but turned around just after something happened before the credits rolled.
