FF 2 Rate and Review Thread

Wow, this has been unstickied?

lmao, it hasn't been demoted.....we just don't like having alot of stickys up at one time, and theres enough traffic in here to keep it up top....

Just saw FF2, I thought is was a really good movie. Aside from Galactus being a giant cloud. It looks like there was something in the cloud though. All in all, FF2 is a great movie.:ff:

I give it a 7/10, I give the first Fantastic Four, a 9/10.

Jessica Alba is good, but the bad wig and make-up were distracting... This movie just had a bad script... and make-up/hair.

The first one is better on every level...

I know everyone has a right to their opinion and all but....are you serious. What in your opinion made the first one better than the second?
Especially how you say "on every level".

an okay movie.
liked silver surfer, liked galactus..
doom, the general and mister fantastic were horrible.

Poll's closed, but I would have given it an Average, it's really inbetween Avg-Above Avg to me tho.

POSTING A FEW SPOILERS

Something just feels off sometimes about the F4 movies, and it keeps me from fully getting into them. Decent acting, the special effects and costumes are good (Doom could be better), but somethings just always off. Doom's voice could also stand to be a bit deeper and not quite so borederlined high-pitched.

The comic fanboy in me can overlook Surfer losing his powers and becoming as weak as a puppy without his board. I can also overlook Galactus just being a fiery head in a cloud, and just a silhouette when passing Jupiter I think it was (can't remember, maybe Saturn). I can also overlook Surfer sending Galactus away as well as himself. There were things that could have been better, but the mistakes weren't near as bad as the internet rumors made them to be. I could easily see Galactus being hidden in the clouds.

I liked the addition of the Fantasticar or whatever they called it. Even tho I disliked Surfers board being both a beacon for Galactus and basically a battery for Surfer (because that means anyone on the board becomes Surfer :whatever:), I do like that Doom took it for a ride. It set up some good comic inspired moments. From belittling Reed, to tricking the army just to get to the board, to finally getting ultimate power and having it taken away, it portrayed Doom far better than the first.

Sure, things could have been better, and like the first something just feels off, but it wasn't by any stretch bad. It did what I thought it would do, entertain me without being an oscar worthy movie. It had a few good fights without drowning in them, and the overall characterization was better. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes F4 and liked the first, tho this is better than the first IMO.

Average. The film was most better than the first Fantastic Four movie, but again.Im dissapointed, there could have been more done. But there was not,im glad the movie focused more on Reed and Sue..but there could have been a bit more done in that sence.

Everything was done right with the Surfer, the voice actor..his appearence. But Galactus,why...why could he not have gotten the treatment the Surfer got?In the end, this film is only barely better than the first one.

No, put me under the water in scuba gear, I'm good......on a surf board, I'm not surfer, I'm shark bait.....

I set it to close on the 25th, but the mods can reopen it if they wish.

I loved the film. They definitely have the Fantastic Four nailed. OK, maybe Reed is a bit different from the comics but ... different in a good way.

I really don't mind Galactus being different from the comics. Really. I have the cosmic cloudlike thing in the films and the humanoid creature in the comics. I win either way.

What I absolutely don't like is Dr. Doom. He just comes off as a cheap version of Lex Luthor. I have a hard time with how they handle that character in the films. At least give him a Rumanian accent. And he's a little too glib.

You know that joke got old and lost its originality about a week ago....:whatever:

Besides, it was a hell of a lot more than a cloud. Tell someone who got caught in the tornado in Kansas that it was "just a cloud". This thing was thousands upon thousands of times larger and could engulf an entire planet whole. It worked better for me than Galacutus setting up some gizmo on a rooftop in NYC. If fact, I should post some panels from Kirby's own Origin of Galactus story from Thor and you may be surprised how similar the effect was .....
