OK I wasn't a fan at the start simply because of it being slow. I never read Giant sized X-Men at all so I never had that biased opinion. I did find the story unoriginal. But I did stick with it as a fan of Ultimate X-Men I like the grey Xavier.
This issue blew me away we get a Villian that is creditable to replace Magneto, their Major advesiry is a flawed human. OK maybe people don't what to see this again but I think that Villian is core to the X-Men. Especially now he was one.
I really interested on how the newest Team member to uncanny deals with everything that has happened. How well they intergate into the Marvel universe.
The end pages give me chills, I cannot wait to the change in uncanny. Also the emotion was raw in dealing with death. This is what I like about New X-Men they show you that you do feel more emotion for a dead character after decemation as to the death in one of so many millions.
So all in all a great books and just to end I've 2 questions please use spoiler tags when answering the first.
Was that who I think it was beside Lorna?
Would people have liked this story better if Claremont himself altered the history he created?
