There's going to be a lot of crow eating across the Net after this film gets released next summer.

The constant complaining across the net about "Nolan's realism is killing Batman in comparison to what Marvel's doing" is frankly stupid. He hasn't influenced the genre whatsoever. Everyone's done a complete 180 since the release of the Dark Knight. Example: Marvel.

We got the wacky, gothic, fantastical version of Batman. It's called Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin. You want the comic book, flashy version of Batman? Watch those damn flicks.

This is a version that a lot of us having been waiting for. You had your chance. Schumacher blew it...

Nice and arrogant...

People can dislike one little thing from this movie you know.

why is there two Catwoman thread on the same subject????????????????????

Yes. Both his costume and his character were completely faithful to the comics.
Unlike poor Jack Nicholson, one of the greatest actors who ever lived, forced to wear a prosthetic smile which raped his performance.
Look, I'm not getting into this discussion again. But Ledger's Joker was THE JOKER. The one who crippled Barbara Gordon and killed Jason Todd. The unholy spawn of Hell sent to Earth simply to play Batman like a fiddle. A creature of pure, malevolent spite.
Ledger nailed it.

I'm also in the camp that didn't like Scarecrow's 'costume.' Probably because it wasn't a costume outside of the scene with him in the straight jacket. Scarecrow with just a mask would be like Joker with only a white face in a normal suit. Like if he dressed in the bank heist suit the entire movie.

that suit was purple-ish

just to be fair

Not saying they can't dislike it but back in '04, people were begging for a realistic take on the character.

Flash forward 7 years later and they want Schumacher's version again, without the neon lights...

no acid? no laughing gas? scars? no joybuzzer?

maybe i was reading different comicbooks

Or maybe you believe that these little gizmos have an enormous bearing on his character. I believe that's completely incorrect.

I can pretty much guess the reviews right now. "Very good finale to Nolan's series but let's lighten him up a bit the next time..."

I'm liking your very subtle parodying of Nolan apologists.

I must say I didn't love the Scarecrow suit either.

Catwoman's costume (if this is the final product) isn't joining the ranks of my most beloved interpretations.

Yeah but if Batman can have his bat-ears... then Catwoman can have her cat-ears without much upset.

It's a simple thing that would never destroy Nolan's realistic setting.

Heath's Joker smeared white and red make-up over his face before he went out... it's not too far-fecthed that Anne would wear a Cat mask.

But I do think we are jumping the gun a bit. Or at least I hope...

You are saying that we can't dislike it or in my case be indifferent to it.

How does being eh or flat out disliking things about Nolan's films mean that one wants Batman and Robin again? Or that one suddenly thinks that the movie is going to be bad?

Nolan's Batman films are not above criticism. I know it's hard for certain people to understand on these here boards but some people actually dislike certain things about these Batman movies and thats their right. You are entitled to think that they are perfect but some people don't. :yay:

I've been wandering these forums for years -- and I finally registered earlier this year. Do you want to know the difference between 2006 and 2011? Joker/Two-Face and Bane/Catwoman? Nothing.

Yes, there are people are there that do not enjoy Nolan's vision but what I seem to take away from most of these negative comments is that it's purely just nitpicking.

I mean a Black Widow reference... really? I guess any woman that wears colored tights on the big screen will go through similar criticism. I shudder to think.

People are entitled to their opinion, but at least watch the film first, and stray away from ridiculous comments :cwink:

From whom? The vast majority seems to expect this film to be great, just like the last two. You do realize that criticizing a decision or element of a film doesn't mean one necessarily expects the film to implode, right?

We got the wacky, gothic, fantastical version of Batman. It's called Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin. You want the comic book, flashy version of Batman? Watch those damn flicks.
If you really think those films accurately represent the comics, then you do not read the comics, and are not qualified to speak on the matter. Period.

This is a dishonest, disingenuous, and utterly worthless caricature of the discussion being had here. You should be ashamed.

It's been confirmed that she has the ears, just not in this picture. I don't understand the constant bickering about the suit, especially after those paparazzi pictures surfaced this morning. It's a great suit.

Woah woah woah woah woahhh!!!

Let's not start to pretend that it's either cat ears or realism. Either Schumacher or quality.

Comic book or Nolan.

Bull****.

He could've put them in there and it wouldn't have ruined anything.

I remember hearing everyone say "how is nolan going to screw two face up?". Seemed to turn out fine as far as design goes to me.

Yes! Nice to come online to see CATWOMAN today. AWESOME. Still gathering thoughts on what I see, but in a nutshell.. she looks badass.
