Sci-Fi Fringe Thread - Part 2

The ending was perfect for a part I.

The question is when we'll get part II.

In season 2 episode titled Fracture, they hinted at the Observers been bad

RAYMOND GORDON: (steadfast) ...meanwhile, we go through our lives unaware. The enemy is among us and nobody's doing anything about it. We don't have any idea the end is coming. So we had to take matters into our own hands. We had to send them a message.

BROYLES: What was in the briefcase?

RAYMOND GORDON: They told you I was crazy, didn't they? The Pentagon. They said I'd had a psychiatric break. I told them what I'm telling you. That they are here. Collecting data. Making observations. That's what's in the briefcase. They've been planning for war. And they've been passing the information via courier right under our noses.

(as the interview continues, a young man in a long dark coat walks into a diner and delivers a briefcase to a seated man, then leaves)

BROYLES: Who are 'they'?

RAYMOND GORDON: We don't know who they are. But I can tell you what they want. They want to exterminate us.

(the man seated in the diner pours an entire container of black pepper over his roast beef and jalapeno sandwich, then opens the briefcase he received from the courier)

RAYMOND GORDON: So they're studying us... our culture, our technology, our science... and they plan to use it against us. One way or another. We'll find out who they are. But by then, I suppose it won't really matter.

(The Observer pulls images out of the briefcase. High-tech surveillance images of one Walter Bishop)

RAYMOND GORDON: Because whatever's in those cases is gonna destroy us all.

Kinda makes sense, always wondered what happened to that guy.

If your first name is Robert and people are calling you Dick . . it's coming from a place other than shortening your first name! :wow::woot:

>>> I have heard it as 'Belly' since the first time I heard it and thought it was natural.
See below.

Wouldn't Richard become Dick as in "Richard "Dick" Greyson" and Robert become Bobby? " Robert "Bobby" De Niro"

Yeah, I got those two mixed up. Richard is shortened to Dick, and Robert becomes Bob or Bobby.

FOX BOOKS “FRINGE” FOR A FIFTH AND FINAL CHAPTER

13 Episodes Ordered for 2012-2013 Season

FOX has picked up FRINGE for a fifth and final 13-episode season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

“FRINGE is a remarkably creative series that has set the bar as one of television’s most imaginative dramas. Bringing it back for a final 13 allows us to provide the climactic conclusion that its passionate and loyal fans deserve,” said Reilly “The amazing work the producers, writers and the incredibly talented cast and crew have delivered the last four seasons has literally been out of this world. Although the end is bittersweet, it’s going to be a very exciting final chapter.”

FRINGE co-creator and executive producer J.J. Abrams added, “We are thrilled and beyond grateful that FOX – and our fans – have made the impossible possible: FRINGE will continue into a fifth season that will allow the series to conclude in a wild and thrilling way. All of us at Bad Robot are forever indebted to our viewers and the amazingly supportive FOX network for allowing the adventures of Fringe Division to not only continue, but to resolve in a way that perfectly fits the show.”

“This pickup means the world (both of them) to us, because we love sharing these stories with our enthusiastic fans,” added FRINGE showrunners and executive producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman. “On behalf of the cast and crew, we applaud our fans and FOX for allowing us to imagine the impossibilities together for so long. Season Five is going to be a conclusive thrill ride for all of us.”

FRINGE’s compelling fourth season concludes with three all-new FRINGE Friday episodes in a row, counting down to the two-part season finale on Friday, May 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Friday, May 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). In “Worlds Apart,” airing Friday, April 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), team members on both sides, including Olivia (Anna Torv) and Peter (Joshua Jackson), continue to fight for a common cause, and there are shocking developments tied to the Cortexiphan children.

I yelled out in joy. At work. I need to get my priorities straight. FRINGE !!!!!

I feel bad for the other universe where Fringe got cancelled.

Rejoice, y'all!!!! :awesome:

Kinda meh day so far. This just made it a hundred times better.

Fun fact: the 13 episode order will bring the series up to a total of exactly 100 episodes.

All is right in the world! Season 5 and syndication, here we come!

I yelled out in joy. At work. I need to get my priorities straight. FRINGE !!!!!

Funny that the font for "Fringe: The Final Season" was from the 2036 episode. Coincidence?... I think not.

:awesome: and that's what leads to the end of all things, because a few people on the other side were robbed of closure. Butterfly Effect, *****es!

In the midst of my praising the tv gods, I'm sorry it's not going to get a full 22 this time, but hey this is 13 more than I thought we'd get yesterday, and we can safely say there won't be any filler next year?

I got goosebumps reading the article. Soooo glad the show has been renewed.

In the words of Walter

"Yes! Let's make some LSD!"

:woot:

Peter: You brought your own sweetener?
Walter: Don't be ridiculous. My medication.
Peter: You're not on any medication, Walter.
Walter: Of course I am. I've been making it myself in the lab.
Peter: Oh, I wish you were joking.

im here to eat crow. i shall never listen to that bastard ever again. trust gone.

now thats out of the way, thank god its back. my 2nd favorite show on tv(breaking bad being number 1) I would want it back for 3-4 more seasons but hey, ill go for a good finishing up 5th and finishing that future storyline.

They already made a season 5 trailer? That was fast (though it was previous episode clips together)

This will be the 2nd series for Joshua Jackson to make to 100 episodes

Dawsons Creek 128 episodes

Fringe soon to be 100 episodes

Play his cards right he can live on syndication money for quite awhile.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is still hope for humanity!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Syfy go after the syndication rights. It seems like it'd be a good for them (the actual sci-fi part of them, that is... not the reality show-spewing part).

I do wonder, if any network picks up syndication rights, how they'd edit the season 1 episodes, since they aired with limited commercials.
