Sci-Fi Fringe Thread - Part 2

I read that they never actually shot two different endings. The one we saw was always going to be shown whether it was renewed or not. It acted as both a season finale and series finale.

yeah, i read they did film two, but then read they didnt film two. who knows, it would have been a satisfying series ending if it came to that. but i would have always wondered what happened in the future and did they get freedom.

If there was news of it getting canned they wouldn't have aired episode 19 right?

Yeah, I read that John Noble said they shot 2 different endings but later on the producers denied that and said they were going to show only one ending whether it was renewed or not.

FALSE FINISH | Wyman rebuffed that which series star John Noble told reporters last month, that as a “back up” plan of sorts, a slightly different ending was filmed just in case the series did not get the Season 5 order. “We did not shoot an alternate ending,” said the EP. “We thought about it, but we did not [film it].” So do not look out for that DVD extra, folks.

I usually don't get freaked out when watching television, but that... :wow:

I am hoping they save the next future episode. For a two hour finale. That way nothing else gets taken away from already seeing things

That scene creeped me out. Especially when her voice went deep.

So is it safe to say that the bullet that came out of Olive's head is the same one Etta wears around her neck?

I bet you they had her do different takes of the same scene of her moving her eyes in different directions and seamlessly put them together in After Effects or something like that.

Now that you pointed it out, most likely.

that sounds a bit more plausible than a CGI effort...

In hindsight, I think it would've been more awesome to save what happened in 19 for the finale. Have the finale last night be the penultimate episode, and then the finale essentially answer Walter's question of "Who's coming?"

Then season five would be what happens in between.

Sweet dreams.

BUT OLIVIA SURVIVED THAT SHOT TO THE HEAD.

I THINK THE BULLET ETTA WEARS WILL PROBABLY BE THE ONE THAT KILLS OLIVIA. I DONT THINK ETTA WOULD PUT ANY SIGNIFICANCE ON A BULLET THAT DIDNT KILL HER.

true, when I first saw Etta with the bullet around her neck, I automatically went back to season 3 which had that animated episode where Peter questions Olivia abot that guy in the blimp and she said thats the guy who is going to kill her, perhaps the bullet is from there?

I am so happy we get one last season of this show. I was so into the finale that when Olivia got shot I actually thought she was dead and not going to be in the next season. :o

It's the bullet that saved the universes. I'm betting Olivia makes it into a necklace and Etta gets it.

Come on! It was obvious she wasn't going to die, Astrid could, but not Olivia. Season 4 wasn't the best, but it seems Season 5 will be more consistent since it will have no fillers. :word:

None of the main cast was going to die due to Episode 19
