Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 3

I personally dont see Tatum as Gambit... his body is too buff. Unless he does a "sacrifice for the art" kind of thing...

Anyway I do hope this movie gets made... but I doubt it will in the next few years

He was rather slim back in his Coach Carter movie days. I'm sure he can do that again. Plus he did a convincing southern accent with a little French in the movie Hateful 8.

He probably committed to the projects that were actually making progress. Movies like Dark and Gambit are basically in development hell at this point.

It's coming. Channing is only starring in 5 other movies beforehand, so he'll be 43 when they start shooting but it's cool.

Hahaha, my gosh, every joke goes right over your head! :funny:
They just mean that we've been waiting a long time for some news.

I think they could introduce him in another movie, like X-Force for instance, and see how the character works. Depending on the feedback, move foward with a solo movie or not.

I feel like there are more people interested in X-23 solo movie after her successful introduction in Logan, than about a Gambit solo movie.

Please god, allah, buddha, make it so! Gambit in X-force would be brilliant! He fits the whole black ops style. He could even be in a X-23 solo movie. They were buddies, right?

BTW, watched this fan clip online recently. Not quite the right portrayal for Gambit, imo, but it's kinda cool

I'm glad that the film is still on Tatum's radar. I'm still optimistic about it as I love Gambit.

Since Fox seems so obssessed over Gambit, it better be as good as Logan and Deadpool.

And after the announcement of Noah Hawley developing a Dr Doom's movie, I hope Fox starts its own thing with character-driven piece in Comicbook movies. Developed by some talented people. They have plenty of fascinating characters. Cough Storm Cough

Chan's obsessed with the character, and that's what is arguably one of the most important attributes as we've seen with some of the recent successful CBMs.

People really crap on Tatum, but I think that this movie will only really be made/being seriously considered because of him. It helps to have such a high profile actor pushing for something like this. Similar to Reynolds with DP.

And I don't think Tatum is as bad an actor as people make him out to be.

Pour de vrai ? Dr. Doom as in we're getting a film from the POV of a villain is pretty nice. Gambit himself falls in the gray area himself as a hero. So, Fox should start breakng some stereotypes! I'd like to see a movie where Psylocke reveals her mind was swapped from Berty Braddock (a gay British male) with Psylocke's (a Japanese female ninja) (well, I know it was a mind swap between two females, but why the heck not?). That would be a very interesting LGBT and trans-racial identity topic to explore. Also, where is Northstar????!!!!

Or not mentioned the mind swapping at all as that is problematic in and of itself. Betsy is half Japanese and half white. Let's leave it at that.
