Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 4

Channing Tatum should film something based on cajun folk stories or ghost stories. Something like Mexico's "La Llorona" or "El Chupacabras" but straight out of the Cajun population and with some Cajun culture in there. With all the marshes, African and French influence, the alligators, there's some crazy stuff they could come up with.

But if we have to wait for a long time (severa years), public would ask what mutants did since all this time
that is the danger

It will become an old thread, right? After all if there were plans to make it, it should be archived.

the whole board should be deleted

or it should be renamed to Disneysuperherohype.com. because now Disney rules the world :funny:

Don’t be surprise to see NBCUniversal Comcast buying Columbia Pictures from Sony.
Or Viacom merging with AT&T, which will put Paramount Studios and WB Studios under the same roof.
I don’t think the other big 4 studios will let Disney dominate the market without a fight.
Columbia and Paramount are struggling with tenpole movies as of late.
I can see them being swallowed up by Comcast and AT&T, it maybe the only way they can survive the Disney dominance.

P.S.
Paramount were dumbasses for selling the MCU license to Disney.

I know this is a Gambit thread, but there’s nothing happening on that front.

Interesting. Who owns the film rights for things like Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball and Thundercats?

Just wondering because if Disney takes over everything, some people will want an alternative.

What’s the holdup Disney?
Make it official, one way or the other, yay or nay.

I’m say a 20% change it will get greenlit. 80% it won’t.

100% it won't.
I'm almost there with you, but the fact that nothing has been decided yet or at least not announced yet, means it still has some hope. It still on the schedule for now, but that can change quickly. I would be surprised if they decide to go with it.

What hope? Disney gave zero indication that they are considering a Gambit solo film. And release dates can easily vanish.

Disney hasn't given indication either way. We don't know what they are discussing in the boardroom.
The only thing we do know is what Kinberg said, that Disney is evaluating the project.

"evaluating all projects" is just a courtesy gesture from Disney and Feige, lol.
He has already said the next 5 years dont have x-men on the MCU. and some execs said Dark phoenix is the end of Fox universe. So all these scripts in development would be heavily altered in case Feige is interested in one or two of them. And even in that case, its highly unlikely those characters will take priority on Feige's X-Men plans.

Maybe Feige wants to put Storm, Cyclops, Rogue and Wolverine front and center, and not start their universe with Channing Tatum or Multiple Man.
and by the time Feige starts with his X-Men universe, Tatum will be 50 years old, totally out of characters by then :funny:

It wouldn't surprise me if Disney took some of those projects and made something else. Have you ever noticed the Incredibles are basically the Fantastic Four + Quicksilver + Iceman?

You maybe right, we’ll see. But it’s really hasn’t been any silence, Kinberg recently said he suspects and hope it will be made.
Here's Kinberg 2 years after Fant4stic had already bombed at the box office:
"[W]e would love to make another Fantastic Four movie. We really believe in that cast, and I think the lessons that we learned would help us make a more consistent movie than we did the first time."
Looking forward to 2021, when Kinberg is asked about Tatum and Gambit and he gives a similar answer.

Could end up on Disney+.
Which probably makes more sense than a theatrical release.

I’m hearing there are negotiations about the this movie. Still don’t know if it will happen. But word is Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin will direct and Tatum will be playing Jean-Luc. The first act Gambit role will be played by a pre-teen actor who will be African American. The second act is Gambit as a teenager and the third act is a Gambit in his late twenties. The main focus of the movie will be Gambit and Bella relationship from childhood to adulthood and the rivalry between the Thieves Guild and the Assassins Guild.

If what I’m hearing is true, then there is a fair chance it will happen.
