Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 4

Nice, a 40 year old Gambit. If they wait just a few years longer to make this movie with Tatum, his bo staff will be a walking stick.

the more I hear about this project the happier I am it never happened under Fox.
Feige... put this awesome character where he belongs, in present day with the X-Men, not in the random 70s totally out of the main movies.

Remember they were only making it because they got Channing Tatum, not because FoX truly loved Gambit or that they thought the character alone is worthy for a film series. If your motivation is the actor not really adapting the character the way he should be adapted, then you are most likely going to fail. They have already secluded him from the X-Men way too long!

Aquarman, Shazam, Deadpool, Iron Man, Bruce Banter and StarLord are all older.

I have to agree. The character comes first.

Where are you getting this crap?

the mere fact of not keeping Taylor kitsh but going with Channing tatum instead is the ultimate proof you need to realize Fox cares about "the biggest star", not the actual character.

they already introduced Gambit in origins, so the most logical thing (as all franchises do) is to continue with the actors you sign on first place. Fox is a f**** mess that dont even respect what they start. For this alone, they dont deserve the X-Men.

That’s not what happen. Fox and Kitsh was never planning on making a Gambit movie. This project started when a reporter asked Tatum what superhero he would like to play, he answered Gambit.
Actually Tatum was on board before Kitsh, Tatum was initially supposed to play Gambit in the Last Stand, but Fox executives screwed with the movie and some characters were written out including Gambit.
Tatum was also asked the play Gambit before Kitsh in Wolverine: Origins, but his schedule was to busy.
Tatum has been having bad luck with Gambit for a decade.

"Where are you getting this crap?"

Tatum was not "initially supposed to play Gambit in The Last Stand."

I don't get the argument that Kitsh makes a better Gambit. At least Tatum can do a Cajun accent.

everything you said just confirms my point: Fox only cares about the star, not the character. Once Tatum showed interest, they were fast to ignore Taylor and greenlight a Gambit movie. Lame studio.

If Gambit was truly dead, he wouldn’t have mention it at all.
Kinberg has more inside information than you guys.
He said he suspects and hopes it will happen.
Sounds like he’s saying, he think it going to happen, but can’t say for sure.

Yeah the script is great yet here we are in 2019 and the movie has no freaking director after the third choice left the movie. The script is great, if only Kinberg's words can put things into motion... right?

But I thought only Fox made the superior comic book movies.

Now people want Disney to make this?:yuk:

Disney will easily hire a director, that’s not going to be a problem.

And what makes you think Disney will release a Gambit movie?

Your confusing Disney with Feige. Its highly doubtful that a man that plans out phases meticulously would all of a sudden throw Gambit ahead of all the countless other popular characters in his arsenal. Even if. IF it somehow interests him i'm positive he'd hire new writers and a different actor of his choosing.

I’m not confused, you are forgetting Feige works for Disney. If Disney wants this Gambit movie, than it will be made.
None of us can claim we positively know what Disney and/or Feige wants to do when Gambit.
