Stannis' "death" was anti-climactic. Here's an army... and then cut to Stannis limping.

I wanted to see Dany's diarrhea.

they should have pointed out that half of stannis' army and his horses joined the Boltons to survive.

I dont think Stannis is dead. I think ina way its replacing the pink Letter saying Stannis is dead. Mel never went to battle she bolted when half his men did. Its not in Brienne character to strike down an unarmed man. Maybe some scum with a sword or the hound in combat and even when beat the hound she did not give him the kill blow. I am thinking she stops for does not see the same evil who killed Renly but a man broken when he had his daughter killed.

Brienne cut his ****ing head off man. Im not sure what show you watch.

I love that all the people using the "He killed Renly" excuse forget Renly cut and run on Ned and if he hadn't Ned would still have his head.

What I hate is everyone forgets Renly was willing to fight Stannis' army, killing hundreds of his own men for his pride and vanity. Yet Stannis is the bad guy because he used blood magic to kill Renly and only Renly, thus preventing any senseless deaths.

No, Stannis isn't the bad guy for what happened to Renly. He's the bad guy for what happened LAST episode, which seems all the more pointless/nonsensical now btw.

The Dorne storyline ended just the way it started, horribly. The ONLY good thing to come out of that was Tyene's boobs.

Somewhere in the afterlife, Oberyn is face-palming SO HARD right now at the stupidity of his daughters/paramour. "Oh for god's sake, I said we don't hurt little girls in Dorne. Did NO ONE listen to me, ugh."

All we saw was a finale swing. Its implied it was going to kill someone but it could open next season with Stan is captured by brienne lead by her and pod .

Even if it's more undefined in the books, Jon Snow isn't dead. I can see why they did it here though. I now see why people keep talking about his resurrection.

To be fair a number of things could happen from what we don't see. She could get shot in the arm with an arrow, tackled off balance before hitting Stannis, she could just plain miss him on purpose because she couldn't kill an injured unarmed man.

Or maybe they both get crushed under the weight of Ramsay's enormous plot-armor.

All men sentenced to die... are unarmed.

Book Stannis would probably have at least challenged her with "before you strike, answer me this. By what right did Renly claim the Iron Throne?" But of course they didn't do that here because:

1. D&D cannot write Stannis well to save their lives.

2. We'd have to watch Brienne stumble all over herself because she'd have no good answer.

But still Dillane acted the hell out of this awful script.

yea Dillane was amazing... even burning his daughter...as terrible a scene it was... it was a really really brilliant scene.

Well that's one thing that I'll still give the show. The acting, for the most part, is still quite good. I hate the Winterfell stuff, but Sophie, Alfie, and Iwane did act the crap out of those scenes. Ditto Dillane and Christie. Heck even Alexander Siddig did well with what little he was given.

On the other hand, Ellaria's material was so bad that it seemed to suck all of the acting talent out of Indira Varma.

the sand snakes were by far the worst actresses the shows had :lmao:

I love how.. throughout the season... we feel bad for children... now...at the end... we ****ing hate a child the most

And say what you will about Kit and Pompeii... he's been increasingly better since he made that movie, no?

I'm going to be in agony waiting a ****ing year to find out what happens to Jon next.

i'm expecting a ****ed up Stannis, Brienne, Pod, Theon and Sansa to be headed for the wall. will they get there in time for the resurrection? i would hope so.

i just really need Jon back so that he decapitates every single one of those ****ers who stabbed him.

I just read somewhere that Dillane's younger sister died in a house fire? And that he struggled to film that scene? That's awful if true.

Sometimes, I'm not sure if its Stannis I like, or just the actor, or both.

And Ramsay's a rare character. Usually you hate people like him, like Joffrey. I hated Joffrey. But Ramsay's the type you hate... but you kind of still like.

Also, Stannis is always talked up to like he's some grand general, made out to be "oh so great" and he's literally been humiliated the entire show. Brother won't join him, loses at the Blackwater, and his entire northern campaign was a sham from the start. There's nothing particularly awesome about any of that. I know Book Stannis was much different and participated and won many battles in the past, but you don't really see that in the show, which is disappointing.

As for the Arya-Trant scene, I was satisfied. If only she could have done stuff like that to Joffrey.
