Would Mel go from being a fervent believer in Jon to being ride or die for Dany?

Or rather, would the writing team be that terrible?

If they team up it relieves her of making a choice.

I wouldnt call that bad writing. It fits with Mel's character in the show. She hedges her bets and the end justifies the means and she knows what the game is. The dead are coming. Jon and Dany are the main power players. She cant be with Jon so she can join Dany or she can sit on the sidelines sulking. Joining Dany is the only sensible option at the moment. And by joining Dany it could allow her to return to the North. If Mel is in Dany's company Jon wouldnt be able to execute her on sight.

There is a definite risk that she isnt aware of tho. Mel doesnt know Dany. Doesnt know that she isnt a fan of people that kill women and children. If Dany finds out that Mel burned a child alive Mel might end up a chew toy for Drogon. If she knew how Dany felt about such things she would probably not try to join with Dany.

Good to see that chain I had on my wallet in grade 9 is making a style comeback.

interesting Mel will meet dany first.... no one in Danys camp knows she was with Stannis, well by looks, maybe Varys does by name...

In the trailer, Jon is in a group of a dozen warriors, including, per leaks [blackout]the hound[/blackout]. Potentially there were more who died before that point.

The last hero set out to find the children, accompanied by a dozen warriors and [blackout]a dog[/blackout].

They are trying to capture a wight or a whitewalker so they can take it to King's Landing and prove that the White Walker's and their army exist.

Those leaks were supposedly debunked.

Anything that comes from the Free Folk subreddit is legit. So if you want leaks or spoilers for GoT, that's where you go.

I know, I just thought it was an interesting parallel.

Nothing much to see, though it looks like Sandor will be wearing Lem's cloak.

Game of Thrones cast say season 8 will be "carnage".

Earlier this year, Maisie Williams teased that season seven ends on a "huge cliffhanger" and EW's recent coverage of HBO's epic saw the cast asked for their predictions for season eight.

Their response? One word: "Carnage."

But before we get to season eight, season seven will see Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) finally reach Westeros, and writer and producer Bryan Cogman has also teased how that changes the show.

"Dany in Westeros makes Game of Thrones a new show. It has this amazing ripple effect throughout every storyline that's very exciting to explore. There's a pace and urgency that's very palpable. This is the endgame," he explained.

And it seems the endgame will involve a whole lot of people getting set on fire, a record-breaking amount in fact.

"In one battle scene we set more stuntmen on fire than have ever been simultaneously set on fire," showrunner David Benioff enthused. "Our stunt coordinator really wanted to get in the Guinness World Records for this."
