Are you talking about the replica or the hammer from the books? Obviously as described by grrm rb hammer weighs a lot more than 10lbs.

That could work, but I wonder if the actor would want to stick around until a later appearance in what's essentially late season 4, which would've been the same problem with the actor playing Tickler. Nonetheless, I can do without the "Is there any gold hidden in the village?" scream Arya did to Tickler (even though it'd be cool) but as long she'll kill someone in a similar fashion I'll be content.

I like that. Also, Kevin McKidd for Mance Rayder. I know it's very different from McKidd's role in Rome, but I see some overlap and think that finding that and then emphasizing why readers love Mance would make for an astounding presence in this show.

I'd rather see someone that looks Middle-Eastern play Oberyn Martell.

Purefoy would make a good Euron Greyjoy though.

i didnt read the books but why wouldnt arya name tywin as one of her 3 deaths would that not help her brother robb win the war?tywins army would be crippled without him or jaime leading it.

I would assume that she was skeptical. But also, presumably he only agrees to targets he can reasonably get. Nobody is going to miss the unnamed torturer. Kill the most powerful man in Westeros, and that's serious business. Lot tougher too.

Are the Dornish middle eastern? I always assumed that they were the Mediterranean equivalent, considering that Westeros is Europe?

Looking at the fan art, a lot of people seem to be giving them a sort of pan-Mediterrenean-Arab aesthetic.

Really, Europe is quite diverse. France alone is a good example. Compare Normandy to the Riviera.

Dorne is a more exotic location compared to the rest of Westeros. As you can see from art, it looks inspired by Arab culture. I'd like to see them match by casting people with tanner skin. Not necessarily Arab/Middle-Eastern, even Hispanic and Spanish would work. For example, I pictured Ellaria Sand looking like Salma Hayek when I read the book.

That's funny because I always pictured Doran as looking a lot like Edward James Olmos yet I always think of Arianne looking more Greek for some reason.

Dorne is my favorite part of Westeros so I'm really looking forward to see what they do with it. I love what they have done with Quarth so I expect I'll like Dorne in the show, also.

io9 had a post about putting the characters to the D&D alignment (Lawful/Chaotic, Good/Evil).

Found one I liked and made some changes to it, put Dany as Chaotic Neutral, Arya as Chaotic Good and changed some pictures and quotes.

I would like Tim Roth for Mance Rayder and Clancy Brown for Tormund Giantsbane. We have to get more Rome alumni on the show too. Purefoy would be great for a dozen roles and Ray Stevenson is like the perfect Victarion Greyjoy.
