    regarding that soundtrack Mhysa...

I think the season will end on a collage of status updates with all of our characters with a bang of a ending

Some comments on things from the previous thread.

I can give you my interpretation of the character from both the show and the books (only what I thought when I had read to the same point as the show is now).

Jaime has always been a pretty cocky guy (reasonable as he's an extremely talented warrior and belongs to the richest family in Westeros) but when he killed King Aerys he did it because he thought it was the right thing (which we modern people likely would agree), but in that society honor means so much that he's condemned for it without much thought.

Everyone saw him as the man without honor, the Kingslayer and so on. I think that he felt that if that's all they wanted to see then that's what he would be. He stopped caring what other people felt (although he did deep inside) and just did what's best for him and his loved ones. Pushing Bran out the window wasn't an act of cruelty but an act of protecting the one he loved. It's of course still terrible, but that's why he says "the things I do for love". He never kills his cousin in the book so the show took a different path there.

When he gets his hand cut off he gets an identity crisis as he loses everything he's really good at. He starts looking at himself, who he is, and realizes that it wasn't quite what he had hoped to become when he was young. Brienne is a catalyst for this as she treats him honorably and reminds him of what a knight should be. In the scene where he's leaving Harrenhal and she calls him "Ser Jaime" it's pretty telling how he gets stumped by that.

So I don't think it's out of character, I think we're seeing several sides of a very complex character. Whether it will keep going in that direction, or work out well, is something we'll have to wait and see.

The North is a very rough land so it breeds rough people. The Boltons have always been pretty scary (a flayed man as a house sigil says it all, although flaying is outlawed these days), the Umbers are pretty brutal and these people aren't complete anomalies. That's not to say everyone are bad people though, which is obviously not the case.

Not even the Starks are really just a peaceful bunch though. Eddard and his children were (perhaps not Arya, and Rickon in the book) but his older brother Brandon, who should have been lord of Winterfell, was pretty hotheaded and some called it the wolfblood (their sister Lyanna was the same), so it's a pretty Starkish trait.

Roose Bolton and by extension his entire House strike me as the other side of the coin when it comes to North and the Old Ways. Yes the lords execute men themselves and yes they have some cold sense of honor, but you have to remember that these are the same people who used to eviscerate their enemies and hang the organs over Weirwood trees as a bloody sacrifice. Ned focuses on the honor and nobility of their culture whereas Roose focuses on the cruelty that is inherit to it.

Any one else think that [BLACKOUT]They will make Tyrion kill Shae and his father in the season finale this Sunday?[/BLACKOUT] or they will leave it for next season?

Yes, there's a lot of things that needs to happen before that can occur.

Ive never read the books but there is one part I do know about that I was actually expecting to see happen concurrently with the Red Wedding. Kinda starting to think this season may end on a big cliffhanger

I suppose I wouldn't mind the closing scene resulting in [blackout]Joffrey's death and the repercussions taking place next Season. But Tyrion killing Shae and Tywin in the first episode might be too big an event to start off a new Season?![/blackout]

If Tyrion did THAT next Sunday, it would feel very abrupt. Was Karstark really that bad, aside from killing the two Lannister kids? I mean, let's not forget that Jaime pushed a kid out of a tower window.

Well, Karstark also killed some of Robb's own men guarding the kids. I think he couldn't hold it in haha. He acted with his heart, like some of the Starks' actions.

I think episode 10 title should be a huge clue to how this season ends.

Many episode titles refer to several things that's happening though and apart from the obvious with the one for the coming episode it can also be connected to the epilogue of the book, which certainly can be moved up to this season without anything breaking. It would be in line with the format of the other seasons.

Does the word mean "mother?" If so,
    Lady Stoneheart surprise?

Precisely what I referred to in my post. That happens in the epilogue of the book. :)

    Re: "mother":

Fairley apparently has a recurring role in another show now so that may possibly put a dampener on the chances.

Does the filming of that show clash with the filming of GoT though? From what I've heard the guy who plays Varys has been on that show so I doubt it would pose a problem. Lady Stoneheart will also likely appear less than her previous self did, which probably further reduces the risk of anything clashing.

Oh. Did not know what the word meant. Now that I do I wonder if...

Arya's warg will kick in while she's unconscious. It's been awhile since we've heard or seen anything about Nymeria.

I think the last scene will be Lady Stoneheart, but I don't think it will be the scene shown in the epilogue. It feels more likely that it would be the Brotherhood finding the body, as it was recounted later on in the books.
That shouldn't effect much. Feasibility of scheduling aside, she won't have a whole lot to do in Season 4. I'd even say it wouldn't be out of the question to not have Lady Stoneheart show up again until Season 5.

I agree, if it's in that's definitely what they'll do. That's always been my optimistic guess for the finale for this season so I've gotten so used to it that I forgot to specify the difference from the book introduction.

I hope that happens soon. I kind of miss that element. [blackout]Jon has to start that, too.[/blackout]

Well, any time the book reveals a returning character in a way that hides who they are until a certain moment, it's going to have to be changed for the show. Unless there's crazy makeup involved, the actor is bound to be recognized. They did it with Selmy. They've changed other things around so they won't be doing it with Theon. Same rule must apply to Stoneheart. Although, she could have her face covered if they went with the original epilogue. I hope that's not what they do, though.

At this point, I'll probably be a bit disappointed if that isn't the last scene.

Also, let's not forget that they seem to be using an extra ten minutes for the finale again this year. That gives room for a few extra bits and pieces.
