That's LR who is been wrong about everything was Star Wars.

Interesting tidbits on John and Daisy's characters.

Latino Review says that JJ and Kathleen Kennedy want May 4th 2016 but Bob Iger is not giving them that release date.

Not buying it. Mostly because I don't think Harrison will be out that long.

The problem with LR now is that they used to be so precise with their scoops. It feels like they're just shooting in the dark constantly; eventually you'll hit something like Bradley Cooper as Rocket Racoon. It makes me not believe anything that they say; and when they're right, they're not consistent enough for me to give them enough props.

For example, with SW: I still remember how they stood by the Cumberbatch casting, and the New Mexico shoot. Not to say that they were not considered but it's moot in the final product. And look at the counless names they brought up. Out of the names they mentioned, Lupita was the one that was really legit. When Driver when rumored to be cast from The Wrap, LR downplayed his involvement siting he passed on the role.

Man, a part of me still can't believe at times that luke will be the final character within the franchise to bear the surname of Skywalker.

Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher's daughter is in "Star Wars: Episode VII." We don't know what part it is (Could be a cameo).

Billie Lourd is the child of Carrie Fischer and Her father is Bryan Lourd, Partner, Managing Director and Co-Chairman of Creative Arts Agency.

I consider LR a rumor site. Never immediately take their "scoops" as gospel. But they do get quite a bit right. And some of the stuff that's seemingly totally wrong (Planet Hulk) could prove true eventually. I enjoy LR for what it is and usually visit daily.

Their piece today on SW has me a little concerned. It sure didn't make sense JJ only got one SW movie. It makes we wonder if the suits aren't happy with what he's done so far? I dunno.

That fan fictiony behind-the-scenes story on LR gave me a headache.

Sure we got the impression a while ago that Kathy's ship could have been run better, but these heavily speculatory stories aren't doing that site any favors.

is Billie Lourd an actress herself?

if she isn't, I won't mind if it's a small role/cameo, but I don't want her taking a spot from someone else just because she's Fisher's daughter.

No not at all. JJ was only going to do one. It’s because he has a family and does not want to be in the UK. All his other films have always been filmed in LA for the most part. They wanted JJ to do Episode VII but first he denied and said no because he did not want to drag his family through that. Then he changed his mind and said he would do Episode VII. I never believed, nor many of us believed he would ever do more. Because his family is what is most important to him.

Star Wars is all locked up in the U.K. for a long, foreseeable future (minus location shoots elsewhere). Abrams doesn't want to lock himself and his family up in the U.K. and has said that even having to do Episode VII there "drives me insane."

If they are starting pre-production on VIII now because they want a new movie done and in theaters by May 2017, having Johnson on board makes sense because Abrams is too darn busy right now and for the future as he oversees VII in post and his other commitments.

Thanks for the info. I've been a huge Abrams fan since Alias. I support whatever he does. And the fact his family is a priority only makes me love him more.

It's pretty simple folks. The universe does not want December 2015. Memorial Day 2016. Let's make it happen.

Will he stop being a *** and just give them the usual Star Wars month release date. Releasing it during the holidays will only loose them money.

Just use a body double for Ford. CG his face on like in Tron: Legacy :D

Releasing in Dec of 2015 puts it in the last quarter of the fiscal year for 2015. May 2016 would bump it into the second quarter of that year. It's a business and he has stock holders to answer to. He's not really being a *** he's doing his job. Plus bumping it back will also change the schedules of all the spin offs that are already being set up. I understand people want the best final product no matter how much time it takes but there's more that goes into these decisions than just that.

Disney was eager to get this out before the end of 2015. They promised investors. Unfortunately this is the result.

Why would it lose them money? If anything May have become over saturated. There is every chance that December will actually make them more money.

And this whole release date thing is ridiculous. They have already started filming and are continuing to film. What would be the point of pushing the date back now?

I was originally big on getting this out in May, but how is this "unfortunate"?

Supposedly they requested it last year. And have requested it again now that Harrison is hurt. If it's true then thank god for Bob Iger.

And I'm with the others who say that this May fetish is ridiculous. It's just a month. Sure the last six came out in May but blockbuster season has changed drastically since 05. Star Wars has been off the screen for 10 years. It doesn't just get to come back and demand a month be it's month just because of fan nostalgia.

Sorry to be snappy about this, but some of y'all have to face the reality. Star Wars is no longer owned by an independent director. It's now owned by a massive corporation that has a lot of powerful shareholders. The director's guilds and the writers guilds and all that other corporate stuff that Lucas stayed away from are now in the star wars game. Kathleen is trying her damndest to love the fans and give us what we want, but she won't always win these arguments and nostalgia will never take precedence over money. We are in a whole different ballgame now and things will be different. Accept it now and save yourselves a lot of heartache in the future.

Ya I agree with you Darth.

First. May is more crowded in 2016, it really is. December has some of the highest grossing films, and also allows longer legs less competion.

Second. People are acting like everything is messed up. Even if that was true about Harrision, resechduling is not going to make it any less of a product. Like Devin said (in his normally rude self) they will just have to throw lots of money at ILM which they will do. So that will not hurt the quality of the film.

Third. This rumor has been debunked many times over by LFL, Harrison's Publicist, and his son Ben. Disney and them said it was 6-8 weeks. The 6 month rumor started from 2 areas, IMDB, and The Sun. I really don't think I need to say more.

But even if that rumor ends up being true, they can reschedule, do movie magic. It does not hurt the over all product, it will just be a hassle and a lot of rescheduling and possibly more money. But it does not need to be delayed. If it is, then it is. But I bet it won't. They still have 18 months.

The only thing I would be willing to believe is that JJ might have saw this as a chance to extend the production window like he originally wanted to. But even that is hard to believe, because you'd think that time would have went more into pre-production and writing, not filming and post. They are going to have over a year for post.

And honestly there is such a thing as too much production time. There comes a point where the director and crew start tinkering just because they have time to tinker and they start second guessing things. That can lead to some "overbaking". We do NOT want that happening on this film.
