I hope they add a little more red color to the flame effects. The whole design really is closer to Road to Damnation pic posted here but they should have more demonic red.

eh...I like the skull. But that's about it. The bike is boring and the outfit is even worse.

I love the black smoke on top, that's pretty sweet. The jacket (for this picture only I am sure) Is suffering from teh puffy.
I actually dig the bike. Exposed to incredible temp continuously would result in a charred look. So that's cool.

He does need his spikes though.

Like most movies this is probably the first time we see GR. I imagine there will be some evolution to his look.

Need to see it in action but Ghost Rider has a more gritty and decaying look than the first one.

This is just me, but fire; not just cgi fire; looks like crap to me in photographs. I don't think it's the most flattering angle of GR. Ghost Rider really is one of those characters you have to see in motion, not in a photograph.

Agree about the jacket looking too puffy.
You could rationalize it by saying heat is causing it to expand, but hey, this is the supernatural we're talking about. Anyway, GR always looks better at night....bright daylight in the desert doesn't flatter him in the least. This picture illustrates why.

Yeah I know it is all we have to go by right now but I am kinda surprised people are being so harsh critically on the look. Simply for the fact that it is a single still picture...seeing Ghost Rider in action is the only real way to judge.

Johnny Whitworth is such a miscast as Blackout, does the guy have much more range than *****ebag?

As for the new released picture, nice... But it isn't as if visuals were the problem of the first movie.

If this fails it'll hopefully revert back to Marvel, sit on the back burner for another 5 years or so and hopefully outlive the tarnish set upon it by Cage & co, and we'll move on.

The fire that on the bike was much MUCH better in action when seen on film..from what i saw on the trailer. true the flames in that photo suck..but probably due to a bad illustration job. at least my eyes werent deceiving me when i thought the skull looked dark gray/blackish. looks much better this time around

This sounds just like the Blackout from the comics, he was never all that "demonic" looking.

from what i can remember yes...it moved much more violently than the old fire effects from the last film. besides this was only a trailer that we saw...they have until next year to get everything just right.

the effects that i saw had me relieved that they are going in the right direction for GR's look. now as far as the story,acting, action goes that remains to be seen. still concerned about the fight scenes as described from the new script..all sound very toned down because of the budget. we will see though...

My first thought was it looked like an action figure.

I liked the first bike better but this is fine. The whole thing about how he can turn anything he touches into his hellride is pretty cool and not too removed from the comics. It was originally explained in first series when he made his bike from pure hellfire, that he could make hellfire into anything but chose a bike because he was more comfortable with that because he utilized blazes riding skills. Opens up a lot of possabilities.....imagine if he transformed a helicopter or tank.

as far as the bike, unless they can really come up with something better, I hope the engine sounds the same....that was sweet from the first movie

LOVING the description of the footage, not really a fan of the new design though, yet anyway, one thing the first got perfect was GR's design, so I didnt see the need the change it, the RTD look is cool, but I dont think they quite got it right.

Trailer is long over due...

I will say, as much as I think MSJ directed the worse movie since giggli, he did stop by with some banter and updates. I have to give him props for that.
