If by some miracle we get Stone, Lawrence and Caplan in the same movie I'll totally forgive the years of BS that we have endured with GB3 going through the various incarnations and being on again off again.
That is one of the best trios I could imagine.

Agreed, I find McCarthy to be the female equivalent of Chris Farley/Kevin James. Seems like if you're an overweight comedian you have to be obnoxious, scream, and fall down/run into things.

Worst part is, she's actually really talented ala Gilmore Girls and St. Vincent.

Sad, she wastes it most of the time doing the drivel like Mike & Molly, Tammy, etc., but that's what the 'general public' loves.

because of the leak, the pressure is on. Honestly, they should try to tie into the original films some how but it won't.

I will accept this movie if it's somewhere other than New York (maybe L.A.?) AS LONG AS IT'S IN THE SAME UNIVERSE AS THE ORIGINAL GB FLICKS. Then they can keep doing sequels with new characters in different locations if they wanted.

Rebooting the entire thing with all females dropping f-bombs and having trouble putting on proton packs is very gimmicky and lame.

I just wish the new ghostbusters members are scientists who were in awe of the original members, and decided to take on the mantle, designing their own tech.

If I were going to connect the two, I'd make it so the Keymaster demonic energy got trapped in another dimension and is trying to get out and "inspires" the new Ghostbusters in the vein of the originals to try and recreate the portal explosion from the first movie.

But that wouldn't be the villain of the movie though.
