Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back - - Part 11

I actually enjoyed this episode a lot and dont have that much to complain about which is refreshing.

Even though this was primarly a Jarley episode (and they are boring but so glad we got the "will they or wont they?" over with) it was still enjoyable.

Everyone got something to do except for Unique and Sugar was of course absent since having her there means you have money though she wouldve been a good laugh I believe in this episode. Esp wouldve had some good Sugartie scenes if the writers thought for once.

So happy that Sam got a decent storyline again, though I wish that Brittany was a bit more involved in it since she is dating Sam. I understand Blaine kind of becoming his bestie this season means he would be there to help him but would have been nice if Britt was there to encourage him more than basically telling him all he has is his body to get him through life. The video they managed to throw together in no time was enjoyable, esp Santana getting to do Trouty Mouth again.

But the biggest thing about this episode....Quinntana. We needed more Quinntana. The little amount of screen time they got belitting/helping Rachel was perfect, and they managed to bring up Quinntana slap, but they need more time! For an episode that is so clearly suppose to be setting Santana up to move to New York, you would think we would see her and the girls exploring NY a little so she can see what she is missing out on. I thought when Love Song started playing we would cut from Rachel to Quinntana out and about NY frolicking around with Rachel meeting up with them. And I was expecting them to have something to say about Rachel dating a new guy and at least one good Qurktana reunion. We have had almost everyone in the same location more than once but we still dont get proper scenes reuniting them.

But all in all, liked the episode, songs were good (Jarley song couldve been a bit better, Marley just didnt have enough umph) and enjoyable storylines.

Oh and for an epsiode that is suppose to be Santana centric, they sure did a job in that promo of making me not know it.

One comment:

When they were naming all of Sam's accomplishments, the writers seem to have already forgotten he's the current Senior Vice President.

You'd think, ya know, his running mate Blaine might have pointed that one out.

Watching last night's ep.

"Sexy teen imbeciles"... Figgins is such an inappropriate principal.

And yet I love Figgins and his Finchel hating self.

Oh me too, but still... how has he not gotten himself in hot water yet?

I though Quinn and Santana would've dropped in on their own, but Kurt calling them to give Rachel an intervention? Sure, I bet they'd willingly drop whatever it is they were doing to fly to New York because Kurt's throwing a ****fit about Rachel going topless. :whatever:

Yeah, I always forget about that. :o

Fun episode, better than last week's. Really liked the acting in general and the final song.

Santana did say that they also came so they could shop and she would have a reason to get out of ky. Rachel was just a side job for them.

Though it is ridiculous that they didn't interact with kurt or brody.

I was disappointed Mercedes and Sam didn't interact in "Thanksgiving".

Glee loves passing up opportunities though.

They just v rather us forget since they probably forgot.

Just v like Rachel/Kurt not really interacting with anyone who wasnt Finn&blaine v when they came back for grease.

Yea, apart from completely obligatory 10 second Rachel/Kurt/Mercedes reunion.

So, yeah...
Finn is getting a crush on Emma, apparently there's a kiss, and, although it's unclear if there's some kissing back, it's enough for Emma to go AWOL right before the marriage, I hear.

I'd complain about the lack of spoiler tags, but honestly, Glee is one of the few shows that I genuinely don't care about being spoiled about anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's true. This show's idea of character development is: **** consistency, just have them do new stuff.

If you look up "Glee" in the dictionary, I'm pretty sure the definition would indeed be "random as hell".

I haven't seen this weeks ep yet but I just wanted to say Wow! The show is definitely playing down her looks.

Episode 15 is "Girls (And Boys) on Film", with the boys VS. girls mash-up competition.

Songs are:

Come What May - Kurt & Blaine.
Diamonds Are Forever / Diamonds - Girls of New Directions.
Footloose - Artie, Sam & Joe.
You’re All The World To Me - Will & Emma.
Shout - Blaine, Brittany & New Directions.
In Your Eyes - Will & Wade.
Unchained Melody - Jake & Ryder.
"Risky Business"/"Top Gun" song mash-up - Boys of New Directions.

Will & Unique?

Really random duet partners there.

Though it's nice to see Morrison finally get to sing (or just plain do anything) again.

How do you do a girls vs. boys mashup but only have the girls singing 1 song while the guys get 4 songs?

The competition is the mash-ups. The rest is plot stuff. Will/Emma marriage shenanigans, Jake/Marley/Ryder love triangle, etc.

Just saw the last 2 episodes. Oh Tina, what did you think was going to happen asking a gay guy out to the dance? And crushing on him? Girl you need to move on

Puck looks much better without that mohawk that the actor is too old to be rocking

Hey seeing Naya in a Superbowl commercial as I type this

Did I just see Naya in an M&Ms commercial?!
