As a Finn fan I consider that a step up from the feel sorry for himself all the time Finn of season 3 and early season 4. Finn, imo, has benefited from being ND's coach. At this point I wouldn't care if Will never came back.
I don't think this show will ever please everyone because everybody wants something different from it.
It was the same with Lost. I think it mostly has to do with the amount of characters. People get attached to certain ones and are upset when they don't focus solely on them.
The thing about Glee though is that it started out as the story of Rachel, Will, and Finn. It's changed since then but Finn & Rachel continue to be the lynchpins with Kurt in place of Will.
So people who complain that they get to much screen time (not on this forum) must have been watching a different show these last four seasons.
I actually still enjoy Glee more than most of the shows I watch (Once Upon A Time and Arrow are my favorites). I don't have any high expectations for it, so I'm never disappointed.
Still feeling the aftershock of being stood up at the altar, Will’s weekly assignment for New Directions is to choose aspirational songs from their favorite movies, and he pits the boys against the girls in a Glee Club mash-up competition. Snowed in at their New York apartment, Santana continues to ruffle her new roommates’ feathers. When her snooping reveals two shocking discoveries, it leads to speculation about one cohabitant, and elicits a difficult confession from another. Meanwhile, Finn tries to locate Emma; Rachel, Finn and Marley each make risky confessions with varying degrees of success; and a secret about Brody is revealed.
Glee Zone - Spoilers

Tina's on her way to getting about as stalker-ish toward Blaine as Kurt was toward Finn in S1.
Poor Jenna.
Also witness the double standard at work. Imagine the uproar if Blaine was acting anywhere near as aggressive toward Sam as she is toward Blaine. Everyone would be saying how inappropriate it was, but a straight girl doing the same thing to a gay man is supposed to be played off as "cute".
It's not cute. It just makes Tina look even dumber than usual.
Are you guys thinking Finn bangs Emma?![]()

Seriously....Finn/Emma is even more ridiculous than Tina trying to convert Blaine.
One of the spoilers protocida posted awhile back said [blackout]Finn develops a crush on her and they kiss, freaking her out and making her run away for a bit[/blackout].
I have a hard time believing Finn would ever do that to Schue, but considering how inconsistently written these characters are...![]()
