Gotham Gotham Season 4 Episode 13- "A Dark Knight: A Beautiful Darkness"

I am glad that the episode isn't primarily focused on the Penguin/Jerome stuff. Much as I like this pairing, it's nice, I feel, that their stuff is in short bursts.

Granted, this feels more relevant to the overall story since the stuff with Jim and Selina is just them playing catch-up with Ivy.

Bruce meets Batman, this is trippy

When Ivy met Lucius!

Jim having a moustache, Oswald with a top hat! Trippy sequence!

Good Batman stuff. Love that voice.

And Ivy's goona cause some green chaos with that thing.

Speaking of that dream sequence, I wonder if that's possibly the spark that gives Bruce his fear of bats. Since, as far as I know, I don't believe the show has established that yet.

I'm pretty sure that's the intention, yeah. Gothamverse's version of 'the well'.

Jerome wants to turn Gotham into an asylum. Can't wait to see what he does next in episode 16.

Also Peyton List is killing it as Poison Ivy.

Pretty good episode that was. It's nice when Gotham decides to throw the rules out the window and just embrace its own, crazy internal logic, and that comes in spades when you pair Jerome and Oswald together. They were the more entertaining part of the episode by far, in my opinion, and I look forward to seeing that bond develop.

Same with the Bruce stuff. It's all baby steps with his development, which is fine since the show has been methodical in Bruce's training, his vigilantism, and outfits, all the way back to when he got inspired by Azrael.

Oddly enough, while it was no means bad, and though it took up the bulk of the episode, I think the one plot line I didn't enjoy as much as the others was the Ivy stuff. It's fine and while I'm still not completely sold on Peyton List, she's still fine in the role. Though I enjoyed the Bruce and Jerome/Oswald stuff more. I think it's just helped by the fact that whenever Jerome is on Gotham, the show gets a shot of energy.

Oh, and Sofia is Leslie's sister-in-law? ...Sure, why not.

She was married to Mario, remember? Sofia's brother who Jim axed? It makes total sense.

Peyton List is pretty awesome as the new Ivy! Hope that's the last transformation because Gotham has struck gold, and I wasn't sure about the recast at first!

Maybe the best episode yet. Love the pacing and everything about it other than Barbara. She seems to just suck all the energy out of the scenes she's in for some reason.

Great episode... Peyton as Ivy continues to impress.

Peyton is gorgeous:ilv: and I really doubt she'd need that toxin enchant men. She's doing a good job as Ivy.

In Tomorrow people and Flash she was always sort of the supporting character but she really shines hear as the villain.

Imo, Ivy, Jerome,Oswald and Selina have been the best castings in terms of Batman's major rogues.

Riddler, Mad Hatter and Hugo Strange for me too.
