I literally asked at the end of my quote if it was [BLACKOUT]his alien DNA[/BLACKOUT]

I was wondering if anyone else thought that

That's pretty much the logical reason yes.

Yes, I did. I wasn't sure that they were going to bring in that particular element from the comics, so the space thing was weird at first. But when it was mentioned later on, everything made sense.

this was a huge deal to me. anyone else? i mean i posted before wanting to see something like this, but i never guessed it would actually be this. holy crap!

Agreed! I can't wait until they are explored more in the MCU. So many possibilities.

I'm not sure even that could realistically keep you alive. Outer space is the coldest there is. Your lungs would freeze solid with your first breath, you'd have instantaneous frostbite on any exposed skin. I just don't see how it's possible in real life. :(

I'm so happy for Gunn and Pratt, this will elevate them to a new level in Hollywook. Zoe is already a pretty big deal so this is just another notch on her belt. It's also awesome for Bautista because it will open more doors for him as well. Vin and Cooper will be on board for another pay day in the sequel as well. Truly this is working out just like I said it would, I wish I was petty so I could go back and quote all the naysayers that said it would flop and my predictions about it breaking records were stupid MCU fanboy dreams but I just don't have the energy for that

It's a ****ing comic book movie, he is
half alien
so relax. What's with the sad face? News flash. A lot of what happens in these movies isn't possible in real life. Chew on that for a while. Wow.

Lol, not sad, just sayin'. Didn't keep me from loving the film. I can let little things slide.n:)

It shouldn't even have to be something you "let slide". If that's something you have to let slide because it isn't possible in real life then you basically have to let everything in these films slide. Super soldiers, gods wielding hammers and large green hulking monsters aren't possible in real life either. Better let those slideeeee so you can enjoy the movies. Also talking trees and raccoons. Forgot about them.

I hope before you see ant man you can also let it slide that he can shrink himself down to the size of an ant :funny:

If I couldn't let things slide I wouldn't even read comics either, lol. A good and entertaining story can make up for a lot of implausibility. :D Luckily I am easily entertained.

Implausibility?! In a comic book film based on comics?! Shocking! :wow: I thought everything in comics was real.

Nit picking things like that in a movie like this is kinda... baffling tbh. It works with the logic of this movie.

Now if it happened in something like Gravity? Well yea it would completely shatter the logic of the films universe.

There is no need to focus on things like that. It's like people nitpicking the train in Snowpiercer, how it works and who built the tracks over the sea etc. The film doesn't care about that stuff, so why should the viewer?

But if you do want to think about how Quill survived a bit longer, then he's half alien and his fathers race are impervious to the effects of outer space. Simple.

Hee hee, if only. :p Well maybe not so great. I don't think I'd want a big purple Sentinel knocking my building down just to squish one tiny mutant. Though the possibility of coming back from the dead repeatedly could be nice, lol.

Bingo my friend, this is what I'm saying. But In the film there is a reason as you and I and Loki said, cause he is half alien. So it's already answered and given an explanation.

Yea the fact he doesn't instantly die when he wields the Gem shows he has some level of enhanced durability as well.

when they finally do the infinity gauntlet story expect to see
2 more celestials. maybe 3 if they decide to replace galactus with one.

We still only know about:

Three of the six gems. The Tesseract, the Aether, and the Orb.
I'm curious to see what the others are. I wouldn't be at all surprised if:

Doctor Strange's Eye of Agamotto
turned out to be one as well.

how long till the other studios go cosmic now? in dc's case again. i know fox is already thinking we got the shi'ar. not to mention the silver surfer and galactus. the worst part of all of this is not being able to use galactus and the silver surfer for marvel studios. when i think cosmic marvel i think silver surfer and galactus.

oh well at least we got the gotg. i still can't believe i just saw a movie about the guardians of the galaxy. they were the last cosmic beings i thought i would ever see on screen. not to mention celestials. beta ray bill is an actual possibility now.

finally who was that muscle bound dude with a red cape in the collector's case? any thoughts?

That scene with Ain't No Mountain High [BLACKOUT]on Awesome Mix Vol. 2[/BLACKOUT]...right in the feels :csad:

:whatever:No one was nitpicking. I asked a question and was wondering. It didnt take away from my joy of the movie

Fantastic Four will definetly go cosmic.
Spider-Man and X-Men won't.

WB already kind of has with MOS. And they could very well try and remake GL (and do it properly this time).
