Haha That conference vid where Pratt talks about Quill and Rocket killing Tony Stark for sleeping with Gamora is hilarious :applaud

I can't wait till all these guys meet up just for the press conferences. This universe is getting so friggen epic, can't believe it's only been 7 years and we have all this.

?
Since they shown the Celestial Head Does that mean they are Eternals onTitan/Earth and maybe a lead into Thor #300 movie.

i was also thinking about the eternals, but i was thinking about this story. on agents of shield one episode the team went to an Incan temple in Peru. thought of this pic as well, but it turned out to just be a temple.
i think we could see this story one day. after seeing a celestial head i am open to any possibilities now.

I wonder if Groot could be the generations Chewie?

He definitely could be, especially if he makes it on screen for more than one outing and is given scenes where he's both lovable and cute and badass.

So was
Adam Warlock
in it?
His cocoon reappeared in one of the glass boxes of The Collector but I don't think Warlock himself actually showed up.

But there are still hope in the after credit scene. :yay:

Kevin Feige talks about the originality of the Guardians movie
http://www.torontosun.com/2014/07/24/guardians-of-the-galaxy-an-original-marvel-movie-kevin-feige

he makes a good point:

“They’re characters most people have never heard of. But when I think back to when I was watching movies, I’d never heard of RoboCop before I saw RoboCop. I’d never heard of Jaws, never heard of Close Encounters, never heard of Luke Skywalker or Marty McFly. I’d never heard of any of those until I saw them at the movies. And then I became obsessed and a huge fan. Everything is original at some point.”

Star Lord seems more like Solo?

Also, Chris Stuckman reviews Guardians of the Galaxy(Non-Spoiler):

Although personality wise he seems more like solo; but in terms of relationship, rocket is always with groot, best friends with him and he understands everything groot says the same way han solo is to chewy.

I totally get showing caution. In the end you never know, but I have a very good feeling about this and logic seems to dictate that it isn't misplaced.

And yes you are right, Marvel does not have the rights to Super Skrull. Fox does.

I have a good feeling too, but I have had them before and it hasnt turned out well.

Sad news on Kl'rt, he is an awesome character now. Annihilation did a lot to re-invent peoples perceptions of certain characters and Super Skrull was certainly one of them. Loved him in that and conquest. His relationship with Praxagoria was really interesting too.

I think Warlock is 110% going to be in the movie; I really doubt the cocoon at the end of TDW was just there for show. I'm hoping Nova gets his own movie & then joins the Guardians. I also think Mantis will become a member, as well as Cosmo getting a bigger role.

I cant wait to see Warlock, but with Nova I just think they introduce him in GOTG 1st, maybe because of the similar origin story to Green Lantern? And yeah, it will be if get the Celestial Madonna herself and Cosmo. Is it true they cant use Bug?

Like ROM the Space Knight, the cinematic rights to Bug - introduced in Micronauts - are held (at least in part) by Hasbro.

Micronauts would be a cool film

The 12 minute b-roll footage was pretty cool. Also gun is planning to expand on the kree for the sequel. I can't wait to see some kree. Maybe hala or kree-lar, not sure which they will pick. The supreme intelligence could be shown, mar-vell, I mean the possibilities are crazy.

here is the b-roll footage

Yeah, people complain about how Hollywood is always doing sequels, remakes, and reboots. But then when they decide to do something that's never been done, they complain about the characters being "too obscure" to have a movie. Go figure.

Feige nailed my feelings on that, really never understood why people think an unknown property is poised for failure. A nonsensical point a lot of even professional publications make.

People think a property needs immediate name recognition to be a blockbuster but it really just takes good advertising, a decent product, and good WOM for success. I think Marvel has the first 2 already in hand and will get the third once all the reviews hit and people start going to see it.

Everyone's gotta start somewhere. Iron Man and Thor were pretty much unknown B-listers among non comic readers before their movies. Afterwards their popularity skyrocketed. Blade was a C-lister that had three movies, a tv show, and an animated mini series. Hellboy had absolutely no exposure outside his comics before his movies. And they both made a lot of money.

Even Batman, Spider-man, and X-men had to get their starts. Batman and Spider-man were pretty much well known beforehand due to the tv shows they've had since the 60s. But X-men didn't really become popular until the 90s cartoon.
