Nova, Warlock, Bug, Mantis, and Cosmo all should appear in a sequel.

Am I the only one who wants Mantis?
No, she's one of my top 3 wants for the sequel as well. I'm actually a bit disappointed that she was excluded from the first film (retroactively disappointed that is, since I never read any GotG comics until this movie was off the ground), and even hoped that those "Skye is Mantis" theories about AoS actually panned out to help justify her omission, but yeah, I feel like she's a key member that needs to be there for sure next go-round.

My main wants for the sequel are Cosmo, Warlock, and Nova. Although Nova isn't a Guardians is he?

He's worked with them plenty. But he doesn't have to be a part of the team to be in the movie. I want Richard Rider, dammit!

Adam Warlock, I don't care for anyone else. Quasar might be cool too though.

SHH: As you continue to introduce more films, how do you manage all these franchises?
Feige: We’re going to three films in a number of years, it is about managing franchises when you have teams ready to go. You don’t want to tell them to go away for four years because you don’t have a slot.
SHH: Will one of the next films be introducing more cosmic characters?
Feige: If “Guardians” works, that will be the franchise to meet other cosmic folk and if we meet them in that and they work then we’ll get another.

This has such little to do with anything, but I'm watching Top Chef, season 10 on Hulu+. It's the ep. with Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' homecoming. Faris is preggo, so I'm not sure if Pratt's been cast as StarLord at this point, but he's resembling more Andy Dwyer than not.

He. Is. Hilarious. He's just mugging for every camera ever. And Anna's super cute with him.

Well the marketing blitz is almost at critical mass. Been seeing commercials almost every break on the networks I've been watching. So excited, Thurs can't get here fast enough!

We all are.

Not me. I don't care.

I'm like "You guys should totally see this. I guess. If you want to. Whatever."

And then I just sit here. Or maybe I go find a dark alleyway and smoke cigarettes, or enjoy a relaxing swim in my dolphin pool. Whatever. it's cool.

True story:

My youngest kid (11yr, who is a Marvel movie fan) recently saw the GOTG TV trailer for the first time with Rocket just going all badass with the firepower and Groot, turns to me and says: "A talking raccoon in a super-hero movie, that's just dumb." I told him if he didn't want to go with me to see this movie, that it was OK, but that he was being disowned and sold on eBay. We're all excited to see this now. :halo:

He'll end up liking it, I have a good feeling about it.

I'm really happy about the fact that Marvel is so confident in this film. At this point I think that even if it doesn't do great business, we'll still get the sequel. I've been really hoping for this to succeed because cosmic Marvel is so rich, awesome and worth exploring.

Dunno if this has bee mentioned, but in an interview with TotalFilm Vin Diesel says he did his lines in the recording booth while on stilts. :woot:
