I think NOES was the worst of the horror remakes (H>F13>TCM > NOES). The crazy part though is it starred Rooney Mara!

Really? For me that list is the other way around. NOES > TCM > F13 > RZ's H. Actually it might be more accurate to say I feel ANOES = TCM. They both totally botched major elements of the original storylines (Freddy being a serial killer & Leatherface's family being cannibals), but they both built good suspenceful tension leading up to the final showdowns. F13 did alright with Jason's origins, they just tried to cram too many bloody murders into a 90 minute movie, sacrificing any tension or suspense in order to do that. Then Halloween got everything wrong that they possibly could. It's like Rob Zombie sat down and asked himself "How can I possibly f**k this classic up the most?" Then he wrote a list of all the dumbest mistakes he could possibly make and made sure to include them in his piece of s#!t film.

I love the Halloween remake, but WOW was the sequel just completely awful. I want to know what kind of sh** Rob was smoking when he wrote that "Mrs. Myers talking to her son on a white horse" crap.

I think H2 was his excuse to cram a movie full of all the white trash bulls#!t that he couldn't squeeze into the 90 minutes of the first movie.

While he is a great actor, unfortunately he was ancored by two awful scripts. I could eat a box of Alphabits cereal and crap a better screenplay than what RZ came up with.

In the originals I was always rooting for Dr. Loomis, hoping he will finally be able to stop MM's killing spree. Even in the crappier sequels, Donald Pleasance was always the best thing in those films and I was always rooting for him. But in RZ's Halloweens, MacDowell played Dr. Loomis like such a deuche bag that I was actually rooting for MM to gut the pr**k.

Again, not Roddy's fault. He was just saddled with a substandard script and over rated director.

Not really. Pretty much the only differences in the Director's Cut were the rape scene and some of the kills. I think in H2 there were some additional halucinations of MM's mom on a white horse or something. Anyway, Dr. Loomis was still the same money grabbing, fame mongering piece of crap he was in the theatrical version as he was in the Director's Cut.

That's the only Halloween DVD that I want to own but don't have in my collection. I'm not ever going to buy Parts 3 through 6. Or either of Rob Zombie's pieces of crap remakes.

I only dared to watch the first 15 minutes of Resurection. When I witnessed the atrocity that took place there... I switched the TV off.

The problem with ressurection is the crappy low rate actors and the really dumb reality tv idea to show everything from there eyes. Not to mention Busta rhymes put the final nail in the franchises coffin, only to lead to rob coming back and pulling the coffin out of the ground to pee on the remains.


Who decided it would be a good idea to cast tyra banks and busta and expect the audience to take it seriously? Not to mention this little gem when busta spoiled the movie on wwe smackdown:

I love Halloween 6...the Producers Cut...NOT the theatrical cut...that version is horrible...in fact Donald Pleasence once said in an interview right before he died that personally loved that version. Its a shame that it hasn't seen an official release...I have a very very nice bootleg of it that mixes the theatrical version with the producers cuts beautifully.

I personally love the score better as it feels more Halloween than the upbeat techno sound. Further the full explaination of Thorn is so much better with the ties to the origins of the holiday of Halloween and more Dr. Loomis, plus the cooler voice over from him beats the one that Tommy Doyle (Paul Rudd) does.

I agree, I actually like the remake but I watched it's sequel once and that was one too many, it was complete garbage, I also hate what they turned Laurie into.

I've never seen the director's cut of Part 6. Most likely because I usually get my movies from legitimate sources like Best Buy, and as you said the director's cut never got an official release. I have seen a bootleg director's cut of A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984). As good as the original theatrical version was, the fan edit was even better.

Yeah, Busta's character was a huge Sonny Chiba fan. So naturally he kicks MM's ass with faux kung fu.

Another reason to hate this God awful movie.
