Hawaii Five-O - Part 2

Back then 5-0 was always in the bubble position of not knowing if they would get notice of cancellation. So they decided not to save Wo Fat like the original Five-O did. As it was in the 100 episodes when he was killed off the new Wo Fat made more appearances than the original did in the Jack Lord run.

Hawaii Five-0 was renewed for a 9th season:

What's going to happen to O'Loughlin though? Is he planning to stay?

And is Adam going to stay on? He's currently on the run after his half sister was killed off coincidentally after threatening Kono and Chin Ho.

This week's episode was not accurate. That British girl who was a Lady was not a Princess. She couldn't be one technically speaking. You can only be a princess by birth (ie if you're a child of an existing prince or princess within the royal family). Since she was not any kind of child of the Queen, nor her children Princess Anne, Prince Charles, Prince Andrew or Prince Edward, and obviously too old to be a daughter of Prince William, then she was not a princess.

Kate Middleton is not a princess even though she is married to Prince William, but her son and daughter George and Charlotte are because they are the children of Prince William. Kate is merely Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, not Princess Catherine. Meghan Markle will not be Princess Meghan either when she marries Prince Harry in a few weeks time.

Princess Diana was only princess because she was a special case. Like Kate Middleton who became Duchess of Cambridge when she married Prince William, this was because William was given the title "Duke of Cambridge", so she could inherit the female title. With Diana, it was because Prince Charles was given the title "Prince of Wales", which was a separate to him being Prince by birth. So Diana became the female equivalent, "Princess of Wales". This was her official title: HRH Diana, Princess of Wales, similar to HRH Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. People only referred to her as Princess Diana for short.

The teenager here in H50 who was called Lady Sophie (I think) even said that her mother was about 34th in line to the throne. Her mother was not a princess but a mere Lady - a distant relative somehow to the immediate Royal Family. None of them are actually princesses though.

They didn't do their research properly but were doing the typical thing that Americans assume about the likes of Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle that they are somehow princesses.

Or like so many cases of television they made it up because no one really cares to look into it at depth. Including the audience.

The Season 8 Finale didn't seem like a season finale at all. It seemed like a filler episode. Sure, it had some action in it with that Russian sub, but I thought it was going to be all about Adam and following up on the story whether he killed his sister or not. Especially after they showed a recap of what happened previously at the beginning.

The only reference they made to it was right at the very end. But that could've been like any other episode in the middle of the season. It felt like there should've been another episode to end the season which was actually about Adam.

Yeah. It did feel like a filler episode that really did have no right being a finale.

What exactly was the point of having Adam on this season?

No point at all. Maybe to have Asian representation? Or to have a tie to Kono. Isn't he even in some other series at the moment? So it's not like he can even play full time.

I bet the story won't even be resolved until the end of next season where they'll stun us with another cliffhanger like the one we just got. :o

After they lost Kim and Park they tried to up their Asian representation which included giving a few recurring minority characters full cast status although Adam was obviously a wasted character.

That was ridiculous. The female coroner doesn't play all that much and even Duke isn't that big of a role. They should've cast a new person, preferably female so it's not such a sausage fest.

They did hire Tani Rath as a direct replacement for Grace Park while in the aftermath Kimee Balmilero is making more appearances than Masi Oka did in the medical Examiner role.

Chi McBride's Captain Grover just worked better than the two girlfriend/5-0 members who had their one season as an additional 5-0 detecetive

They need more females in general though. I preferred it when Michelle Borth was part of the team in addition to Grace Park. It doesn't need to be either/or. They could have both.

Hawaii 5-0 is just spinning its wheels at this point.

So what was the point of having Adam last season?

I can't believe this show is still on.

It pretty much knocked out SyFy Friday nights. I thought that the Taken preboot may have a chance to take it out but their software reboot failed. Now it is a matter of how long Alex O'Loughlin is willing to go and if it's probably replacement Magnum P.I survives it's first two years

I want to yawn at this "twist" but I can't even be bothered to do that much.

That is what Duke is for.

Not after Kim and Park didn't get a raise and left. The 5-0 production faced a racial and political backlash that could have ended the series, sort of like what Guardians Vol III is facing on a sexual political basis right now.

And yet the show has continued far past its expiration date.

The description looks more like McGarrett's mother than Captain Grover.

That is what I thought, because Lou wasn't necessarily a villain when he started, he was more follow-the-orders, buy the book type who clashed with McGarrett on police procedures......then his daughter got kidnaped, he broke the rules and joined 5-0.
