Oh I dunno, I just assumed a prison in marvel that was used for supervillains would be a made up one.

It's real, though the spelling may change between the two. But Riker's Island is a real prison in NYC. If you ever saw Carlito's Way, it's where Kleinfeld meet's Tony T.

Claire calling Matt 'Mike' before she knows his actual name is likely a nod to how Matt would pretend to be his own twin brother, Mike Murdock, in keeping up appearances.

He was also one of the villains in the beginning of Agents of SHIELD Season 2. Really nice way to connect the show to this.

It's not named but based on Madame Gao's fighting ability and the fact that she said her home was much further away than China it's pretty clear she is from K'un-lun and will most likely reappear in Iron Fist.

Jessica Jones is 2015/2016 launch. Luke Cage will come out like 9-12 months after. I find it highly unlikely Iron Fist makes 2016.

It's almost certain that JJ will hit this year - they've said 2015 multiple times. Luke Cage will probably follow in June, and Iron Fist in December. They're going to want Defenders out for the May/June 2017 spot.

They've also said possibly 2016 for Jessica Jones. Fist in December pretty much puts it in the ballpark of 2017 anyway .
