That's the one, I'd say the people behind in green suits are most likely Pardemons. I definitely think this is Supermans resurrection but something happens after this and then he doesn't come back until the final fight to join the team. But I reckon we might still get scenes where he's meeting with Lois and Martha. So I see either the amnesiac idea or the he's lost some of his power and needs to recuperate. The latter seems more likely to me as it ties with the way the comics did it and we know Snyder loves to get as much source stuff in as possible.

I don't know. If they were Parademons they'd be in mo-cap suits. They're green, though, which means they'll be completely removed in post. Also, note the device around Ezra? Similar to the one they used for Jason's underwater scenes. The guys in green probably control that device to move him around.

Oh yeah you're right :funny:

Still think I could be right about what's going on in the scene though.

At least one guy in green suit can be seen holding a large pad. These have been used in the past to help stop an actor being thrown around or moved around on wires.

I've said before, but I don't think he'll come back as a bad guy. Will he fight the League? Very possible, but that doesn't make him bad.

My guess is still that the codex plays some role in restoring him, but from a Kryptonian point of view. He comes back as Kal-El, where he's got basically all the makings for perfect Kryptonians coursing through his body. So he's not really Clark or Superman. He feels antagonized because there're four randos with weapons standing around him when he comes to, so he fights them off.

From there I'd imagine there are reports of his return leading to Lois/Ma Kent eventually reconnecting with him and restoring his humanity. If I was a betting man, I'd say the engagement ring is what does the trick.

So then you get the true Superman who will literally be the best of both of his worlds.

That actually sounds very close to his role in the Flashpoint animated movie. In that film, Barry recruited both Thomas Wayne and Victor to look for the Flashpoint version of Superman in hopes of using his abilities against Aquaman's and Wonder Woman's forces. However, what they find is a broken man who isn't able to control his powers and flies off after being rescued only to come back at the end of the final fight to lend a hand after figuring things out.

It's most likely that this will be the case for Superman's role in JL where only after getting his senses straight from meeting either Lois or Martha, he will return at the very end of the final fight to assist the league.

Why do you always seem to leave out what happens after the fight is over? As if, once Steppenwolf is defeated, there is no story left to tell? When I think of this film, I cannot picture an ending that doesn't spotlight Superman's return to his loved ones, his team, and his world in some sort of big way. A speech, a wedding, a party, a friendly gathering in new JL headquarters, individual moments with each member of the team, and an address to the public could all be possibilities where Superman will shine.

Nah, Superman punches Steppenwolf to death. Darkseid sobs as his uncle dies brutally. Cut to black.

Oh I'm somewhat confident that we will probably get a montage or a few scenes that will deal with the aftermath of the final battle, let alone with Superman's return to the world.

My previous point is that while I expect Superman to have an "important" role in the final battle, I'm not expecting him to have a large one.

I'm pretty much expecting something as short but important like this scenario...

Granted, I could be wrong about Superman's role in the final battle and he may very well end up having a bit of a bigger role, which would definitely be a welcome surprise. But at the moment, I'm going with the theory that the clip above will be very similar to both his usage and screen time in the final battle before we get to the montage/aftermath for the remainder part of the film.

Haha, that's my best guess. It'd be nice to see the whole codex angle tied up as well. We'll see though. I think the final Alfred line in the trailer semi-confirms Clark comes back before the final act, but isn't totally himself.

I just noticed Erza is pretending to be a crab in that gif

It's a good guess, methinks. I'm just really looking forward to seeing it play out on the big screen. Can't wait to share that moment with you guys and girls (most of you anyway ;) )

I wonder if they're basing part of the film on Flashpoint in terms of Superman's role.

would love to see him meeting with Lois and Martha after his resurrection.

do you think they will go the Donner's direction that Clark can't be with Lois anymore because he has to be a full time superman now? you know... Clark is died...

sound too wonderful!!! why didn't you go and be the script writer!!!

Nah I don't think they'll go that route.

I was thinking of Sup doing his own thing in his vision before returning, and finds Lois/mom at the end, but sounds like Zack will let Lois/Martha remind him of his relationship/childhood instead, and hopefully have a wedding at the end, look forward to it.

If he is confused with the Krytonian codex at the start, we might see a cameo from his birth mom and dad?

Cavill is still unshaven as of today.

Perhaps, but that would definitely make him more of a weapon to the group than an inspirational figure for most of them.

I'm still wondering if Superman will get any decent interaction with any of the other league members that isn't Batman. BvS didn't exactly instill a whole lot of anticipation for wanting to see him interact with others because his quick verbal exchange with Wonder Woman was hardly anything to be happy about.

If that is a preview for what his interaction with the rest of the group is going to be like then, that's not really instilling a lot of confidence for his place in a shared universe.

although there are several possible ressurection scenarios in the comic books-

I have no idea exactly how they will do it.

However since this is a 'team up'film-not a Superman film it's very possible that

his recovery itself will involve 15 minutes of Clark screen time-then 15 minutes of screen time as Superman and a total of 30 minutes would seem normal for this time of film.
