Just to up the tinfoil hats: Snyder just posted on Vero that he's in San Diego and Aisha Tyler, who hosts the panel, has liked a post on twitter asking her if there's going to be a Snyder Cut presentation in SDCC...

My perspective on a potential Lois and supporting roles recast is that’s WB may see the previous incarnation as tainted. WB may think that a Rebirth for the character is what’s needed. They may also know having to pay more money for the current cast simply isn’t worth it so they may want to save money there.

The supporting roles are a lot easier to recast than Superman too.

Again this isn’t me saying they are going too but I don’t think we should rule out the possibility that they pull a soft reboot on us.

My response to both of these posts is that regardless of who someone singles out as needing to be recast, whether it's a sincere comment or not (glares at BN), is that I don't think it's a good idea. The change in perception and quality is something that a recast won't fix, and doing it has the potential to alienate original fans and confuse general audiences. So, to me, the best thing to do is maintain continuity and cohesion with the cast and simply evolve the characters and their world in constructive ways under the guidance of talented filmmakers.

Honestly I think Henry and Amy will stay on but I don’t think we’ll see Fishburne back as Perry or Eisenberg back as Lex. I also don’t think we’ll be seeing Swanwick, Jenny or Farris again.

I suspect they would all come back if the filmmakers still want them with Eisenberg as the only tricky one. He's not as necessary, though, because new villains can be used, and if they do need to use him he can just be written differently. It's also not like those minor characters like Swanwick or Jenny are problematic, and since Superman stories typically involve the military or the DP office, one might as well use what you already have than create redundant characters.

Even if Cavill signed on for say, 6 films as an example lol, I would still not expect Amy Adams to sign up for another 3 films. That's just my feeling and totally cool with a recast. That's all. No insincere comment from my part.

Gotcha. I see it differently mainly because Amy seems to love the character, and the cast, and it's possible it wouldn't have to be as big of a commitment as 3 films. Plus, if Amy didn't want to do it, recasting wouldn't necessarily be the answer. Look at Jane Foster. She didn't need to be recast. They just didn't include her in the story. I'd hate that for Lois/Amy, but I don't think a recast is the only solution to this potential problem.
